10 days ago we would've never predicted this team would win a game by 23 points, while shooting the ball poorly. I would wager that we will not see another game this season where our bench shoots 1-10 from the arc.
Also, I don't think we would've predicted we out-rebound a "fundamental" basketball team like UNI - 43-29. That is the type of game teams like UNI usually win...and something I was fairly convinced our Hawks couldn't do this year.
I'm certain we have hit both ISU and UNI a little bit down from where they have been the past few years, but an in-state sweep really didn't look like it was in the cards this season.
I don't think there is anything to attribute this to other than fantastic coaching. That includes both the recruiting and the X's and O's.
Hopefully we see two overwhelming victories over the next week and then a couple of upsets to start the B1G campaign. I really, really like this coaching staff.
