I honestly don't believe Wisconsin is that good.
They've just looked good against mediocre teams. And Iowa is a mediocre team. Last week was just one of those games that happen.
Iowa is back to normal this week. Below average offensive line play, drops, and uninspired play calling.

Anyone who doesnt think Wisconsin is that good should just look at their record over the last decade. They are one of the best teams in the country in that time frame and have been the ultra-consistent. I, for one, am jealous of where there program is compared to Iowa over that time.
They are what we should be, and were on pace to be, until 2010. It all went down hill for us in 2010. That fake punt on a back and forth game...

Ferentz has 1 win vs. Wisconsin this decade. There won't be another. Iowa's program has fallen way behind Wisconsin.
The interesting thing is that when they brought in Alvarez, they wanted to be IOWA.
Really wish Alvarez had stayed at Iowa...I know, hindsight...
For me, the Ferentz era can’t end soon enough.
None of their starting offensive linemen are seniors and their stud running back is a freshman. They will demolish people even more next year.

Either way, it just hasnt been the same. Same bad offense as always but without the physical toughness on either side.

I agree 100%. I actually think any of top 4 teams would win. Their offense (outside of Taylor) isnt going to win many games because of the turnovers. Their defense could play with anyone.
That doesn't make me feel any better about Iowa's program. UW has been in the top 25 every year since 2010. Iowa? 2015 and that's it. They won't be ranked again this year, that's for sure. Nor should they be.
Agreed on the Norm part. Ferentz rode Norms coattails all the way to a lifetime contract. It was a sad day for Iowa football when Norm had to walk away. God Bless
Ferentz never wanted to be Wisconsin. Open date in the schedule? Iowa = Northern Iowa. Wisconsin? Alabama and LSU. Case closed.
Actually, it's the loss of KOK that Iowa never recovered from. He left after 2010, I think. Phil Parker has done a good job taking Norm's place. Iowa hasn't had a consistently good offense since Stanzi was QB (2015 notwithstanding).
where was Wisconsin when Hayden went 13-0-1 and KF was 6-2 , now Wisconsin is having some success and they are on the level of OSU and Alabama. good grief.

I'd been ready for a coaching change since the 2012 season. Going into that season (2015), I thought Iowa could make an impressive run (never would have imagined 12-0) because of the schedule. The downside I saw to it would be the cooling of Ferentz's seat. And that happened.
I pretty much don't get too high or too low with Iowa football anymore. I just try to find what enjoyment I can in watching the games. My biggest issue has been with the style of play, as many Iowa games are just boring to watch. That includes the 2015 season.
I said they've been in the top 25 since 2010. That's amazing consistency. Where did I say they were better than Alabama, though? You need to get your reading glasses out.
I absolutely I agree with you that if that happened that Iowa could be ranked. I have zero faith in Iowa winning a bowl game if they finish 8-4.
the way people are bragging about Wisconsins success the last few years, one could see how people would consider that Wisconsin as been beating Iowa the last few DECADES and not the last several years. its time some of you wake up to the fact that Wisconsin is this powerhouse. before today the road team has won the game.
