125 CRUZ UR vs #18 Cruz was aggressor in 1st 3 shots no finishes, was thinking maybe go to a cradle on 4th shot in the 2nd which he finally finished. He stayed mostly aggressive and got another TD in 3rd to seal deal, NICE WIN!!!! 90

AYALA #4 vs #24 He was getting after it but got a little sloppy and gave up 1st TD. He got out and did good work on his first TD and ride out. 2nd TD was slick then rode him and wore him down in 2nd getting the riding time advantage. Then he opened a can of WHOOP ASS!!!! 95

141 JACE RHODES(? had to do a double take) UR vs UR(they said kid from wisky upset #15 so that is pretty good win) We got hit early for backing out and I thought it was the right call. Need to do a better job of at least making it look like you are fighting!!! (this comes back and bites him in ass a little when he gets hit on bottom again) Jace with nice double and ride out end 1, could not believe IOWA has a guy throwing leg ride(honestly wish we did it more) anyway, wisky kid was also a leg guy and I guess somewhat better at it. Got the 2nd stall call which factors into going to OT. Jace WINS in OT, give him the 83+++

149 PARCO #4 vs ur again we were aggressive but sloppy giving up 1st TD, quick escape and TD then to work on TOP!!!! His tilts are TUFF and TIGHT!!!! tech early in 2nd 88 (would be much higher without giving up 1st TD!)

157 ESTRADA UR vs UR (1st thing is, can this kid man 149 next year? He is thick but short???) Good work 1st TD quick escapes are what i like and he opened up 2nd with one, not much happening rest of match 80

165 CALIENDO #2 vs UR quick work is what you want to see in matches that are so uneven, quick 1st TD into rapid fire, did get sloppy TWOOO and almost put on back!!! but gets TF in 1st 90 ( we need to clean up some sloppy wrestling from several guys AND stay aggressive!!!)

174 KENNEDY #5 vs UR again quick to get to work, played TD let him up most of 1st and finished period up 15-4 with RT!!! Quick escape and TD to end it start of 2nd can't do much more 97

184 ARNOLD #5 vs UR WHIP OVER -PIN!!!!! SIR IRON STYLE!!!!! ONE HUNDRED!!!!!

197 BUCHANAN #2 vs UR AND YOU SEE THAT!?!?!? that shEEEt contagious!!!!! SHORT O to a COW CATCHER PIN HELL YES!!!!! 1000

Heavy KRUETER #12 vs ur showed good D against wisky quick attacks, then got to his offense with a nice low style double. Ben is a TUFF rider and that is going to be important in many close matches!!!! Nice business type escape start 2nd, could not finish a few shots during the later part of match as he got in decent put got extended. Did get a TD late to get major 85

Announcer sounded a little like a robot but at least knew SOME wrestling and he worked hard to add "color" give him a B

MAT was nice, BIG, new style!!!

Crowd looked pretty good size from what I could tell?

BIG Cass in corner nice to see!!!!

Along with Spencer scoop and different takes on common foes and our sport in general, Iron’s grades always make it worth the visit.

Giving up a takedown isn’t sloppy, guys are gonna be scored on it’s how they respond, and the guys responded great.
I get what you are saying. My thoughts are, I liked the IOWA attack style and want to see it against the best competition which is the real hard part! Letting the fur fly , if I can steal a line, in TUFF matches. that is when it matters. Giving up takedowns, especially early or 1st, does not sit well with me!!!

Do not want to let someone hang around and steal a match at NCAAs for example, when the REFs tend to let wrestlers play the edge and stall etc....
Cruz with a nice, convincing win over a ranked opponent- 90 is a little low.
YEP, TUFF one to grade, certainly was a great win for him!!! Maybe I just have higher expectations of our guys?
CRAZY!!!!

I hope this is a joke.🤣
NO shark, this is some very serious shEEEt right here!!!! If they can't get their SHeeeT together, and getting us scoring in the 3rd period, even if it takes NOT pinning or Teching someones sorry ass!!!! Well we ONCE AGAIN, need to reevaluate what in all hell we are doing!?!?!?

One of the BIG concerns with SL for example was his lack of 3rd period scoring😁:oops:;)!!!

1 match after the intermission went to the 3rd. Tough to score in the third if you don't get to it.

We need to be concerned about getting scored on early. Get behind against great opponents and they will actively stall out the match, a k.a. Penn St

I was at the dual. Here is what I saw live!

125- Cruz did well. I watched him and Petersen warming up together and Cruz looks tiny compared to him. Cruz seems small for the weight and needs more strength. Rivera is big for the weight and you could tell he didn’t have the juice. He probably would be at 133 but I figure he can’t beat out the guy there.

133- I thought Drake could have had a higher pace in the beginning, but he turned it on. Brands was showing him how to avoid that first TD after the match.

141- we came out with the win. Jace is a little high in his stance for my liking. I think Cullen is the better option there right now. 141 next year is going to be interesting. I don’t think Block will be back there and Cullen will be graduated. Looks like Otto black or Rhodes next year for now.

149-Parco looked great. Slick TD by Nilo.

157- Good to see Estrada get the win there after originally being committed to Wisconsin. If you ask me I think he will be are started next year at 149. I really think Block need to pack on the pounds and go for 157 next year.

165- dominant

174- PK looks like he has fully grown into 174. I don’t think he was last year and it cost him in some matches. I think he will be the starter come March.

184- dominant, still wish he would have gone last year at 184 and RS this year, but I’ll stop crying about it.

197- Dominated. Pretty cool this was the first time his father has seen him wrestle live in college minus NCAAs

285- in his interview Brands said he wasn’t ready to go. 165-197 went so fast he wasn’t ready when his number was called. He will learn from it. Still got the MD. I don’t think Ben is going to light up the score board. He just need to focus on advancing and trusting his offense.

I think you need to re-set your sarcasm detection meter!

I never knew there was a Cleveland Rams.

Learn something every day.
The Cleveland Rams were founded in 1936, went 5-2-2 their first season, and finished second behind the Boston Shamrocks.

The Boston Shamrocks??? WTF?

The Shamrocks and Rams were in the fledgling American Football League that had started up. The Shamrocks outdrew the NFL Boston Redskins that year whereupon the Redskins moved to Washington D.C.

The AFL folded in a couple years and the Shamrocks played as an independent team picking up players discarded from the Pittsburgh Pirates, now the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cruz is aggressive on that single leg but not so good on finishing. Got away with it against Rivera but wont against better guys. Hope Block and Peterson can get back in the lineup, going to need them against better Big teams.
Drake can do himself a lot of good with a win next weekend for seedings.
Can't wait to see where Parco is at with the top guys here soon. He sure isn't afraid to go all out with risk which is likely the only way you beat Van Ness.
Cali is dominant as someone else said. Will run into MM 3 times, cant wait to see if he is closing the gap some.
Don't know if Brands is injured or its PKs spot to lose but if it is he don't look like he is giving it up. Another cant wait for him and Karchla in a few weeks, so much on the line for end of the year tourneys.
That was an impressive throw by Gabe, set that up perfectly.
Not trashing Glazier, but am so glad the Hawks picked up Buchanan.
BK has just got to be ready to go. The next 4 matches should tell him where he is at and what he will need to work on before the tournaments.
