Women's tournament thread

Women's hoops is still at the point where the top priority is getting people into the seats. Until that changes, there are going to be few upsets because of the home court advantage for the better teams.
Even so, all 1st round games featuring seeds 5-12 are on neutral courts, where you would expect most upsets to happen, and in that group only 1 lower seed won., including 8/9 games.

OSU benefits big time w zebras at home lol. 32 knocks girl to floor foul on duke lol
As do all WBB programs. Take a look at the top 3 in the B1G - OSU, Iowa, and Indiana - and they all beat the other 2 at home. Not hard to figure out. That's why the first couple of rounds in the women's NCAA Tournament is misleading.

Not saying OSU will absolutely win today as Duke is very dangerous at times (they could upset OSU), but if comes down to the wire, I'll take the home team every time in the first few rounds. It helps in boosting WBB attendance for the bigger WCB teams to keep advancing

I don’t think Ohio State’s gonna win this… That sucks, doesn’t necessarily mean anything, but not a good luck for the big 10
Everyone at this point is basically a top 25 team so not huge upsets. I get your point that our regular season champ goes down but everyone is good now.

And... OSU goes down in round 2--in Columbus. 😐
You guys still confident in the Big Ten's showing? Only 3 left with a shot at the S16.

A little late for OSU's first three. Their nine missed FTs didn't help, either.

Let's hope Iowa doesn't pick tomorrow for a shit game like this. If Clark is cold again, others must step up to hit shots.

If this is the final game? I don't think Duke could lose now if they tried.

I am guessing Stanford has a better plan for Audi Crooks tonight (she scored 40 vs Maryland)

She's a big girl; she's listed at 6'3... does she weight 250+ ?

In case you missed it, hit the PLAY button

I've not been impressed with OSU all season. Most overrated number 2 in the country when they held that spot, and not suprised at their B1G or NCAA tournament results.

It's not about being impressed, but rather the level of the competition in the conference. The narrative from the Pac12 and SEC all year has been that the Big Ten is weak and rankings over-inflated. Going to need big showings from Iowa, Indiana, and Nebraska to turn that argument around.
