Worst possible 2nd round match up

Don't want anything to do w/Virgina, Utah or Oregon.
To be honest there is not a match up that would favor the Hawks. Holy Cross could beat them right now.

There isn't a team that's tourney eligible at this point that people would take Iowa over....amirite?
West Virginia would indeed be a horrible matchup for Iowa. The Sister-Kissers play incredibly tough pressure defense and bang like hell under the buckets. On the other hand, if the officials call fouls, they have a problem, and their outside shooting is very inconsistent.
If WV's guards are hitting and the officials are "letting the teams play," they are going to be extremely tough to beat. But I'll be surprised if they make a really deep run in the NCAA.

West Virginia would hit 15 threes against Iowa and Jok would end the game with bruises all over his arms and hips from being held all game. Then the next game, WV would go 1-25 from beyond the arc, be called for 25 fouls and lose. Lately, we just seem to let everyone have a career day against us and not sure that will end next week.
Any team that shoots well and has 5 good athletes on the floor is going to be a big problem for the Hawks.
We could end up in Sweet Sixteen. Not likely but possible. Nevertheless eye test says right now we may be the least capable at large team in the tournament. Sad truth is that regardless of how well we do-or don't-end up doing we are taking a spot from a better team.
Any team that wins their first game.
A question I'm more interested in initially is if there are any first round matchups they might have a shot at. As it stands, with their probable seed line of 6 or 7, their best shot is against a team that's less physical and has an off shooting day from the perimeter. Hard to see who that might be.

Our best matchup in the first round would probably be one of the Saint teams. Joes or Bonaventure.

This Iowa team reminds me of the Missouri team under Quinn Snyder with Kareem Rush. They were ranked high, collapsed, then made the Elite 8 as a 12 seed. Will Iowa do this? No idea, but the type of year and collapse so far...
Most people on here don't like this type of thinking. We need to focus on how bad Iowa has been, will be, and are right now.
