Would anyone other than Trump have been brave enough to do this?

Our Federal government has been on a collision course with a financial cliff for some time now. No politician has dared to do anything about it. Just kick that can down the road.

Well, the reckoning is coming sooner or later. The deficits, the mounting debts... something has to give.

I applaud Trump for trying to do something about it now instead of doing the BAU and allowing it to become worse.

Who else would be brave enough to do this?

He’s not doing anything about those things. If you think that you’re not paying attention.

It’s not bravery to break something that isn’t broken. Did changes need to be made? Yes. Did burning down the building with me in it need to happen? No.

Cute gif, but who else would have the balls to try to stop the impending financial train wreck?

He's not trying to stop the financial train wreck. He's trying to cut taxes and buy freaking Greenland! He just commissioned a damn new jet fighter to be built too!

He's also cratering the economy with tariffs which is just going to decrease the GDP and therefore our tax revenues.

Only thing he's doing is trying to destroy the things the government does that helps people. And that might make some sense in a "difficult choices" sort of way if he really where trying to stop the impending financial train wreck. But he's NOT stopping it, he's only making things worse.

Only way to stop this is for congress to both lower spending across the board and raise taxes. But the R's only want to lower spending on things that help people and lower taxes on the wealthy.

But this goes back to the same old Republican trick of cutting spending on social services and pretending you are doing it to reduce the deficit but then just spending even more money than you cut elsewhere. . . Often by cutting our income through yet another tax cut.

And no tax cuts do not eventually increase revenue.

Having Congress raise the debt ceiling another $4 T was super brave and courageous. Just unbelievable really, superhuman on a bigly scale.

You never cease to amaze. Stoopid MF er.
Fire up another butt, clown.
Do you think money headed to your senior citizen homes is not in the target?

Please show me a government worker who "helps" people and I'll show you a unicorn.

Every government worker that helped my family get Medicaid.

Every air traffic controller who makes sure planes don't run into each other.

Every department of labor employee who enforces laws about worker pay. You are aware that in terms of dollars wage theft outpaces every other form of theft in this country?

Every food inspector who makes sure our food is safe. Every CDC employee who works to prevent future pandemics.

Our civil servants help people all the time in thousands of ways. The only thing you can come up with is some quip about the DMV. Which for the record is a state government service not a federal service and secondly I don't know about anyone else's DMV but the longest I've ever had to wait at my DMV in the county I currently reside in is 20 minutes. It's a blue county so maybe it's because they are funding it to make it effective unlike the red county I grew up in one county over where my parents typically had to wait 3 hours before talking to someone.

You’re expecting boomer cult members to think critically. Thats too big an ask.

I just find MAGA's to be so bizarre. Total fantasy world. Do you people do any actual research of the actual numbers?

Trump and the Republicans are going to blow up the deficit, not reduce it. $4 trillion tax cut coupled with a collapsed economy and in the end their cuts to the bureaucracy are going to cost way way more money than if they had left things as they were.

You people still don't get that you don't get significant savings by eviscerating the federal bureaucracy?
