Why I believe NOTHING that comes out of JD's mouth:

- Doubted Trump’s solutions: Vance acknowledged that Trump recognized people’s struggles but criticized him for not offering real solutions.
- Warned fellow Christians about supporting Trump: After the release of the "Access Hollywood" tape, Vance urged fellow Christians to think twice, saying, “Lord help us” for defending Trump’s behavior.

Trump may be paid/forced to resign. He may die. He may be the first President to be 25th'd. But he'll be gone.
Vance is the pliable plaything/protege of the billionaire Right - think Peter Thiel - and can be counted on to do their bidding. He's also smart enough to not do anything too stupid on his own.
By contrast, Trump is a train wreck who could really hurt our plutocrats and oligarchs if he sticks around too long. To them, Trump is merely a convenient vehicle to get their guy into power.

I believed her liberal (not extreme, but liberal) positions at the time. But now that I've seen her backtrack and waffle on some of them, I don't know whether she was sincere back then or just being political.
In other words, was she sincere when she opposed fracking and backed universal health care back then, but is being political now? Or was she being political both then and now? I suppose there's a possibility that she was sincere both then and now, and just evolved, but that seems less likely.
As a lefty, I'm hoping she was sincere back then and will show that if she wins (and is allowed to take office). So, yes, I'm hoping she's just being political now. And, yes, that leaves a bad taste in my mouth - but I understand that it's pragmatic.
