Budmayr was brought in to help the QBs and passing game and the results were historically bad. I don’t understand why he is still here.
Would love to hear someone make it make sense.Budmayr was brought in to help the QBs and passing game and the results were historically bad. I don’t understand why he is still here.
It doesn't. Kirk would drive a car with a flat tire until the rims started sparking. Then he'd drive it farther. It's only getting worse with age.Would love to hear someone make it make sense.
Same goes for Barnett.
bud can't coachThen Abdul Hodge was a lazy hire as TE/FB coach.
His experience was three years South Dakota coaching OLBs.
You can either coach, or you can't.
Kirk likes them. That’s it.Would love to hear someone make it make sense.
Same goes for Barnett.
I don’t put Barnett in the same category. The OL was improved this year. We were limited at talent at T, but we appear to have recruited well there the last few years and Proctor will definitely help. All his players seem to love him.Would love to hear someone make it make sense.
Same goes for Barnett.
You guys hate the Lester hire but want McNutt? LOL
How’s the TE spot doing at Iowa? U do realize ABdul Hodge who played LB at Iowa is the TE coach.Geez that is a lazy hire. Didnt the guy who just got fired have more experience than Bud and Mary?
I mean let's find someone who has produced some college award winners and record holders, a gu who has put a couple of guys into the pros.
There are a lot of pro WRs who come from smaller schools and their coaches could be great.
Budmayr was a QB and I doubt he has coached WRs

I'm not sure if you realize they won 10 games last year.Rankings:
84th in Sacks Allowed
126th in 3rd down conversions
128th in total first downs
107th in yards per rush attempt
127th in yards per pass attempt
126th in passing yards per completion
All that with a pretty veteran group.
But, his players like him…
He spent 2 years as GA. 2 years as quality control. 3 years as QB coach.bud can't coach
With an offense one step above dogshit, it could've been 11 wins and at least competitive in a few others. We only needed a DeJean return against Minnesota because we couldn't move the ball against a terrible Gopher team.I'm not sure if you realize they won 10 games last year.
What a coincidence! Given the fact that I'm carrying a bag of dogshit right now, I feel as though I am pretty well qualified to assess this comparison. I feel pretty good right now, and this bag of dogshit is having no impact upon my emotional state. I felt a lot worse watching the Iowa offense. By extension, I feel as though your assessment is wholly inaccurate. With an offense one step above dogshit, it could've been 11 wins and at least competitive in a few others. Oskie?Rumor in SE Iowa is that McNutt will be the head coach of a HS team next fall. Said team may or may not be the same place that JVB played at. Stay tuned.
JVB played at Keokuk, but maybe Osky is the may not?Oskie?
Ah, yes.JVB played at Keokuk, but maybe Osky is the may not?
Sash played at Osky.
Not posting in a negative manner, and I get your point, but you must be loaded. You couldn't pay me 300k a year to coach/live in Keokuk.
That would be like $500K in CA,NY, etc.Not posting in a negative manner, and I get your point, but you must be loaded.
Imagine Gaza, but you are making 300k.That would be like $500K in CA,NY, etc.
How bad is Keokuk?
Keokuk is def one of the bottom 5 towns in the state. Right in there with Ft Dodge.Imagine Gaza, but you are making 300k.
Apparently that’s what we’re dealing with.
I’ll break the news. Marvin McNutt was offered the Iowa WR coaching job, but Iowa couldn’t match what Keokuk was paying. I can’t believe it.
Well, I mean when you say it like that. Just think, it used to be the strongest unit on the team. I still say the several years of it slipping is showing up on the defensive line as well. When they pin their ears back, they just do not have that nasty that teams of old had.Rankings:

Disappointing if true regarding the $.Imagine Gaza, but you are making 300k.

eazy... Dirty Dodge's brewery sucks but DAMN their singletrack is the best in Iowa!!Keokuk is def one of the bottom 5 towns in the state. Right in there with Ft Dodge.
It's being overrun, just like Ottumwa.Keokuk is def one of the bottom 5 towns in the state. Right in there with Ft Dodge.
An aggressive strain of poison hemlock.Overrun by what?
When the Keokuk bag man shows up, you can move your ass right along, because it’s over.Disappointing if true regarding the $.
Do they have 10 Casey’s, a Wal Mart, Dollar Tree and Dollar General and a McDonalds? You couldn't pay me 300k a year to coach/live in Keokuk.
I’ve only drive through Keokuk, but man, there is some stiff competition.Keokuk is def one of the bottom 5 towns in the state. Right in there with Ft Dodge.
Don't pick on him, he says he is a Hawkeye fan.I'm not sure if you realize they won 10 games last year.

I grew up in Eastern Iowa with relatives in Burlington and the Quad Cities. Definitely better days for many of those river towns. That said, Keokuk was never the top of the heap...it's pretty rough.I’ve only drive through Keokuk, but man, there is some stiff competition.
Like so many of those Mississippi river towns, it looked like it was probably a pretty neat town at one time.
He coached a 3rd team all big ten TE up to 1st team Kwalick award winner and injuries stopped any recognition in year two. How’s the TE spot doing at Iowa? U do realize ABdul Hodge who played LB at Iowa is the TE coach.
You peeps are about as bright as a 5w light bulb. There are two sides to a game and each position knows a lot about both sides, especially the great players in a particular position.
Think outside the box just once in your lives. This has been going on for many yrs succcesfully at Iowa under KF and at many other schools.
I heard either Jerry Rice or Fred Biletnikoff. So, not a single inkling yet as to who will be the WR coach?
Why bring one of those guys in when Steve Ferentz is probably available.I heard either Jerry Rice or Fred Biletnikoff.
