Interesting article by The Athletic on the success of putting wrs in the backfield and the mismatches it can create.
It has always been a copycat league/sport, so I’d imagine this trend will expand over the next couple of seasons.
We’d have a few wrs that would be pretty comfortable in this role I think, where they would lineup in the backfield 10 times a game and have a few totes along with running passing routes. I’d love to see some scheme concepts like this incorporated as it still fits in well with complimentary football.
