Thought his character had something with the Cesaro section and tear away suits several years ago.
He's in that weird place where the WWE pays him enough to keep him from wanting to risk taking a chance on himself.($500000/yr) Plus he's 41 hard to want to start over. Close friends to Cena as well.

Think it's legit. AEW is better off without this version of Cody. And especially if it includes Brandi.
Honestly how often was he there, he never fit in with the Indy Darling mindset the rest of the league was built on. Maybe he finishes his transformation into the Miz and just goes the gameshow/reality route.
In the take off he was instrumental. And really helped establish Darby and MJF in the ring. He had some classic matches. The Brody Lee dog collar match is one of the best TV matches AEW produced.
Cody's problem is he started to get high on his own supply. And didn't have anyone in his ear that he trusted enough to give him the 411. Can't blame the fans. They absolutely let him know how they felt.
