You Guys Got Cracker Barrell In Iowa?

You bet your azz we do!

It's good. Not Casey's breakfast pizza good. But good.

You like it? My hometown in Tennessee is the corporate headquarters. I knew the founder and his family very well. My sis is best friends with one of his daughters. I ate in the first one back in 1969...opening night...had a bowl of beans, turnip greens and cornbread.

My wife is a big fan of the Cracker Barrel.

Waffle House will never see my face and it only took one trip to convince me. I rank it right down there with Crystal Burgers.

Meh. I'd rather go to the local diner for about half the cost.

No I like my hamburgers to look like hamburgers and not damp cardboard. Never had the breakfast.

Eating at Waffle House is a sign you’ve made a mistake somewhere in your life.

What's a Waffle House?
It's a 24 hour diner chain. Contrary to what some are saying it is really good for what it is and way better than other diner type. Chains. It is best known for hash browns that are great on their own, but available with a variety of toppings. It puts IHOP, huddle house and especially Denny's to shame.

It doesnt put them to "shame" but it's great drunken eatin.

I like mine smothered, covered and chunked. I'm sure the next time I'm back in Lincoln Co, NC I will find my way into a Waffle House

Cracker Barrel is a savvy business. They place their
restaurants near the Interstates. In Davenport it is
near the off ramp of Interstate 80 and North Brady St.

Their dinner meals are reasonably priced for the
quality of food. They are usually crowded and the
wait can be 20 minutes on holidays .

They have the best breakfast this side of Waffle House.
I didn't know there was one in Iowa. None over here in Eastern Iowa, at least none that I know of.

Good place for breakfast. Mrs. LC likes that thing they do with a piece of thick toast that the cut a hole in the middle, put it on the griddle, and break an egg into the hole. Forget what it's called.

Many, many places have great breakfasts, though.

Nor Sir. We don't.
However, we have a restaurant chain here in Ioway called "Cracker Barrel"...and they too think they fix good eatin' breakfasts.
You a teacher there in Tennessee, Tenn? Spell much there?
I threw in an extra "L"...excuse me for living...geez...besides I wasn't an English teacher and with Owebama's Common Core I am not sure spelling is a major issue now...I doubt knowledge is either.

Yeah but how many places have "sawmill gravy"?

Obviously, this is a case FOR "common core".......Obviously, spelling is an elective in some parts of this nation.....even with "spell check"....Spelling is like one's appearance...it makes a lasting impression of people.

Not where I come from sir...humility and civility are way higher up on the list of importance...

We have a Cracker Barrel in Omaha and it's pretty good.

Ate at a Waffle House on Christmas Day 1993 when I was on TDY in Biloxi. Eh.

I wish we had a Bob Evans here. Closest one is in St. Joseph MO.
You can have one of ours. Due to the influx of Midwesterners there are quite a few in the Bay Area. Not a big fan myself. Too bland.

lol there isn't much in SW Iowa..that's for sure
How stupid are you? I am 15 to 20 minutes max from more restaurants than anything Des Moines or eastern Iowa has to offer.

Just keep thinking east of Des Moines is the end all of fine dining and I'll just laughing at you hicks!
