Wow! Had not heard that before. We get one about once every other week in my CR neighborhood.No ice cream trucks in Des Moines (at least not the kind that drive thru neighborhoods). A kid got hit by a car and killed when she ran into the street near an ice cream truck back in the 60’s, so the city banned them. A company tried to get the ban lifted a few years ago, but no dice.
Apparently ice cream trucks are too dangerous for Des Moines.
