One player I don't know a ton about and do not recall hearing any reports on is this guy, VanValkenburg. Who for my own idiocy I will nickname Z-Van. I know that he transferred from Division II Hillside and was a beast at DE raking up 8.5 sacks and 14.5 TFLs.
Excited to see what this guy can do and if he is the starter (as depth chart seems to imply) it will be fun to see what kind of impact he can make. Phil Parker seems to like him and he is the prototypical size for the position (6'4 265). Another thing that is exciting about him, he likely has a chip on his shoulder from not being recruited D1 out of HS. Anyone heard anything else on this guy?
