Argentina sucks....Well, Argentina always increases its beef exports as it makes a lot of money.
The problem is that they limit their own citizen’s consumption of beef.
Thus the beef is more expensive for it’s citizens.
weren't Amon Ra St. Brown, Drake London & Michael Pittman Jr. playing for USC that day?Ya that toilet bow was special a terrible USC team with a soon to be fired coach and a high schooler playing qb
vs a team that could only execute a qb sneak
memorable
Really incredibly stupid take. But sure, run with that. You mean Jimmy Carter's Department of Education. I believe that is who started the Washington meddling in Iowa education.
indeed, as i've said before (channeling SP Huntington), american politics is just an ongoing conversation about the appropriate balance at a given time among core values that are inherently intension with each other (eg, liberty v equality, limited government v security, etc.) Neither side's emphasis is wrong, or right, it's just their particular cocktail mix. And, just as you note a legit fear that perhaps modern R's increasingly don't recognize the legitimacy of 'equality' as a core value, so too i worry that D's aren't too big on liberty any more. In both cases, it's a huge long term problem, as the consensus over the universe of values is pretty much the only thing that defines an american.ZME Science is based in Romania so it's not Americans trying to convince themselves.
I actually posted the article/study as a joke in response to your comments. I think Republicans and Democrats both have their share of intellectuals and people with lesser education. The biggest differences are probably their priorities. I think Republicans are more concerned with financial issues and traditional norms while Democrats are more concerned with inclusion and looking toward the future. Both have their strengths and weaknesses, although with the devotion to Trump by the Republican party is concerning to me since he often represents the opposite of what Republicans have traditionally valued.
This passage makes it sound like the committee's goal is political not educational:so what? why do we care about the organizational aspect? they're legislators; they can chop of oversight however htey want. Certainly no worse than environmental permitting in real estate development.
either way, as a legisltive body, if THEY get out over their skis the public can throw the bums out.
I love your sarcasm…it’s so refreshing.
tom, I agree with you a lot.
This issue is a killer for democrats. The over reach by the left of trans issues is one of the main reasons trumps wins in 24.
What do you think Tulsi will do if she has access to all information?the people cheering a lot of these trump picks don't realize that you need to know about a bureaucracy if you want to reform it...for this reason, not too concerned RFK and hegseth. They'll probably say some embarrassing things and institute some dumb policies, but trump and his minions have never shown the patience required to achieve real legislative change or reform
Tulsi though, if she gets her hands on the wrong piece of paper ...
I'd assume there are significant firewalls being put up by the intelligence community
You mean Jimmy Carter's Department of Education. I believe that is who started the Washington meddling in Iowa education. Prior to that we had about a hundred years of republican control in Iowa, minus a couple of years of dem governors.I'm so happy I got a world class education in Iowa in the 80's and early 90's before the State GOP had a chance to dismantle public schools.
This is who they elect, nowadays. This is her entire act. She makes no attempt at being a productive member of Congress. She's a performance artist. Her entire schtick is riling up the rubes and bigots in order to get on TV, or to get clicks.
the personal baggage is what gave me pause after seeing the nomination. Two biggest issues for SecDef IMO are recruiting/retention and preparing for possible a China conflict. On that front the Secretary of the Navy is gonna be a extremely important pick.
I like what I've heard from him on both BUT I think he might have just too much personal baggage. The confirmation hearings will be lively to put it mildly.
so she accepted a donation from a person she was considering investigating for fraud, and then immediately decided not to pursue the investigationTrue on the low bar.
Her "issues" shouldn't be a problem getting her confirmed.
FALSE5) under NN’s control of database and statistical analysis.
I couldn't tell you why they invested. Yes every time it comes up they need investors to back it. No I don't feel bad for millionares that make investments either. Just stating it wasn't as easy as just walking away so Riverside could build a playground for CR.Are they having to reinvest every time they make a pitch because this is at least the third time that I can remember. I assume some of that investment money has to be used in their pitch. People need to get paid somehow.
Also, why did they invest in the first place when the iowa gaming commission said it wouldn’t pass and local casinos were against one being built in CR.
Can’t say I feel bad for them one bit.
If they have to much money, I’m sure I could give them some shitty sales pitch and take their money.
