Other healthy players quitting?

If you own a stock, and you know for certain that the price will never go higher, you are going to sell. It makes absolute no sense to hang onto that stock any longer. For the same reason, when players like KJ have put themselves in position to be Drafted as high as they possibly could, it makes no sense to keep playing at the college level (even if it’s the middle of the season) and risking injury (i.e. your stock going down). There is nothing dishonorable about walking away from a team that is bowl eligible but has already fallen short of every other goal. Just plain, simple, hard truth. Get used to it.
Makes me think you may not be the brightest bulb if you're basing your argument on the above bolded. How is it one could know for certain? One could argue a player could hurt their value by not playing all regular season games.

So it begins

The argument can be made that the more educated someone is the more detached from reality and less intelligent they become.....and therefore more likely to participate in groupthink and vote for democrats.

I think anyone that would posit that it's possible to become less intelligent due to education probably shouldn't be taken seriously.

What’s the coldest temperature you’ve had to work in?

After seeing Trad whine about cold temps in Florida, it got me thinking about being outside in the cold. I know a lot of you guys are desk jockeys, so probably don’t experience the joy of working outside in a Midwest winter.

For me, it was about 10 years ago in the middle of winter up in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. I don’t remember what the temp was, but the wind chill was -40F. We were working off a JLG lift, about 100 feet up in the air too. I had a full beard at the time, and ice crystals formed immediately on the stache and mouth covering.

I’m old and gray now, don’t mind the boogies in the nose, that can’t be helped. This was just after about a minute outside.

That was me going to my mailbox in Madison except my eyes would water and my lashes freeze.
Trying to retrieve my garbage cans from the snow bank was another sad story.
Ugh. I don’t know how people live like that.

******Kansas vs Iowa Game Thread******

We are not as complete a team as last year, no surprise. But the pieces are there to be really good in the near future. Right now our 2 & 3 are somewhat limited. Syd is still regaining form. Kylie is quick can drive, good defense, but not great shooter. Taylor elite shooter but lacks the quickness to guard or drive. Support them that is what we have and they battle. Our fresh class is here and going to be adding to this team this year and more to come. Love this team that will improve all
i'd say we are more complete. Difference is last year the offense was an all time NCAA elite offense. Defense didn't have to be that good. Doesn't necessarily mean we are better this year by any means.
