Not quite the same, but i get your point. In the long run the TEAM won. Then you analyze the total results & change out the weak link. That's what a good manager/coach does. Took some time with BF, but Iowa is getting there.you are part of a three man team at work.
One of your coworkers does next to nothing all year. You and the other pick up the slack. You both work overtime, weekends, etc to meet your quotas.
At the end of the year the goals are accomplished. All three of you get the same raise and kudos
Do you compliment the slacker ?
Yeah, I was wrong. Big deal. You really spending your morning fishing out old posts? wow.So I marked it down……but ESPN must have the standings table wrong?!
^^ Kirk's age and longevity are starting to be used against him and Iowa on the recruiting trail. But there are a lot more transfers out there.Iowa is a stable program. That’s all you can compliment about it. We’re not even gonna be putting many guys in NFL over the next few years as the talent has gotten so bare.
Fortunate that no one was probably watching....everyone was watching the end of the Georgia/GT game.Wonder what those network pricks said after the game?
It’s the time of the year to be “Thankful”So, 1/3 of the 18 times that an FBS team won a game with less than 200 total yards over the past 7 season...it was Iowa. I don't whether to laugh or cry.
Sorry, I didn't know you were a little kid.Don't feel bad about yourself
They are definitely not what they used to be. I will travel to Tampa. Would also go to Nashville. No others.I will watch Iowa play in whatever bowl game; however, my excitement level won't be buzzing. These bowls now are much less meaningless than a regular season game. No way would I spend big money to go see one. The top players opt out of them.
Much less meaningless, Gracie?I will watch Iowa play in whatever bowl game; however, my excitement level won't be buzzing. These bowls now are much less meaningless than a regular season game. No way would I spend big money to go see one. The top players opt out of them.
There is supposed to be a rule about "displacing" your opponent. Thats supposed to be a foul. As you said though the way she does it the refs just kind of overlook her pushing the opponent out of the way.She moves in slow motion, so the "backing into the lane" offensive fouls aren't obvious.
I rewatched her winning score vs Drake.
It's like slow motion instant replay, yet it's in real time.
She's just big and uses that size to just bulldoze people.
You seriously thought Iowa was going to pass when they were already in field goal range with 2 timeouts? Are you new here? (Or is my sarcasm meter off?)I scratched my head on the 3 plays before final field goal. Thought they would at least try to get 5-10 yards thru the air.
Deep. Really deep. And a vote for anyone other than Harris was a vote for Trump.
Wonder what those network pricks said after the game?KF has to go.
Raiola saved KF some criticism by fumbling.
What did KF do to earn praise for last night's victory?
Fickell won't last long at Wisky, but that shouldn't be a factor on KF being under pressure or being scrutinized.
The halftime show where the network people were making fun of Iowa is likely how Iowa football is perceived, nationally.
The longer he is kept around, the bigger the rebuild.
Update - Based on today's behavior, I may be looking for a couple bags of coal. Anyone see coal discounts on Black Friday?
Most running backs dont get drafted very high anymore because there are so many good ones, dont have to pay them first round money for 3-4 years but just replace them when they get worn out.He doesnt move the pile. As is he is a lot like Cooper heading in which left money on the table. Better lines..yes and better defenders. He ll go but with ? marks. He struggles when turned to the out side which is another ?
Late 2nd or 3rd round at best.
Sorry, you lost me with Campbell as iswho doesn’t recruit better than Iowa.Ponder this. The schools in our region we compete against for recruits usually "out recruit" us. Yet, even with better talent we keep beating them. Fleck, Fickle, Rhule and Campbell are a combined 3-17 against Kirk. With equal or better talent. Hmmmm
Traffic will decrease on here because the loony birds and leftist trolls are awaiting their next assignments from DNC headquarters. The big D loss, which I should have seen coming, got me thinking. Besides political shenanigans, what do I do on here? Sure, I enjoy the rando boob's thread but otherwise the discussion has gotten to be meh. I'm tempted to unignore everyone because nothing is happening for 4 years. So, for me, like I did for many years, it's back to lurking. Sure, I'll start a thread here and there but alas the fire is gone. Keep making your 9 figure incomes and keep well. Not adios but kinda.
I'm not sure of your point. Resar is an injured wide receiver today and I seriously doubt Lainez ever sees the field at Iowa. QB recruiting over the last 6 years has been a complete bust along with the one time they splurged on the portal. Brian/Kirk had no business evaluating QB's and it showed over and over. And Marco Lainez and Resar. Bringing in a walkon quarterback to be your fifth string shouldn’t count. So Lester has brought in Sullivan and he’s played like two or three games?!?
