For those wanting Kirk Ferentz gone

Ponder this. The schools in our region we compete against for recruits usually "out recruit" us. Yet, even with better talent we keep beating them. Fleck, Fickle, Rhule and Campbell are a combined 3-17 against Kirk. With equal or better talent. Hmmmm
Blah blah blah. Time for a change. Even with Lester's improvement this year you can see Kirk stamped all over the offense. Let him get the record next after going 4-8 and he can ride off into the sunset. It's going to be a hard year for my liver. Sorry little buddy

Gus Malzahn thew new OC at FSU

In Mack Brown’s UNC postgame presser yesterday he flat out said it was time for him to go because he and so many other coaches have seen changes wrought by NIL and the Portal they don’t like and are not optimistic about.

UCF is still regarded as a “commuter school” here in Florida and as such it’s got the largest enrollment but it’s lacking a frenzied alumni base crazy about football. For now it’s still going to be a “bounce” for coaches who want a bigger school job.

In that regard, Saban pretty much indicated the NIL changes were part of his decision to retire.

Congrats Clones on denying Prime a trip to Dallas.

Oh good, another thread for people to hate on Colorado.

But it does provide another opportunity to reflect on all of the commentators and fans who loved to let everyone know that Deion’s approach would fail at CU. So that’s nice.

A different iteration and viewpoint for a Prime thread would be to remark how 9-3, maybe 2 Heisman finalists, and tied for the conference lead is pretty impressive in year 2. But hate away!

Which 2 teams is the Big 10 looking to add right now and go to a 4 division conference?

What is the benefit of more expansion?

Not many TV markets left.

Four divisions so you could argue for a shit big ten west type division to help Iowa get in playoff?

Expansion was already too much. If you can’t play everybody in your conference it’s too big. Should have something closer to 12 conferences and all winners advance to playoff.

Trump: We require commitment from BRICS countries to neither create a new currency nor back any other currency, or they will face 100% tariffs

Then get the f*** out of the US.

I hated Biden's policies as President but not once did I say he wasnt my President. If you cant take the results of the election in stride Id suggest you find another country to try your hand at.

Not joking.

The difference, among others, is that Biden wanted to be every American’s President. Trump, as exemplified in his Thanksgiving message, only wants to be President of his supporters. He expresses nothing but hatred towards the rest of the country. He isn’t our President because he himself doesn’t want to be.

With Bonespurs simple mind... everything is simple.

As George Will said, “He has an advantage on me because he can express everything he knows on a subject in 140 characters and I cannot.”

I had two words in mind after my second - both starting with the same letter. Figured birdie or par. Then it wasn’t that letter. I ran through the keyboard several times before I figured it out. Bot scored it a 4.3 and bogied so I feel pretty good.

We won. We're better than Iowa State overall at everything. You can let it go.

And since you're confused, I'll illuminate. You're worried about the future......I can see the future.........and I'm telling you that in the future, Iowa is still > Iowa State.

Therefore, we won.

Stop trying to convince yourself otherwise, now. You're welcome. :)

We didn’t though, we lost to Iowa St.

Congrats to Iowa State

But isn't a little part of you kind of jealous that ISU appears to be in a stronger position to make the CFP going forward than Iowa?
Not at all. The B1G will typically get 4 teams in, whereas the Big 12 will only get 1, the conference champion. It won’t happen every year, but I’m confident Iowa can occasionally compete for one of those spots. Will all depend on the next coaching hire.

Iowa State was fortunate to not play anyone except Iowa at Kinnick this season. They likely won’t be as fortunate in years to follow. While I agree the path to competing for a Big 12 conference championship is easier for Iowa State than it is Iowa winning a B1G championship, I firmly believe no Big 12 team will ever win a national championship under the current format. The fact is, the Big 12 is a shell of what it once was and will continue to resemble a glorified MAC conference as the years go by.

Congrats Clones on denying Prime a trip to Dallas.

As long as Iowa has an antiquated coach at the end of his career.....they will struggle recruiting beyond the locals who remember the past longer than anyone else....and that isn't on ISU.
What are you even talking about? Iowa has an All-American running back from Cincinnati and his top two backups are from Florida. They have an All-American linebacker from Indianapolis and his partner is a transfer from Virginia who is originally from Georgia.

They have quarterbacks from five different states - Michigan, Nevada, California, New Jersey, and Florida. They have tight ends from Ohio and Kansas and Missouri and Wisconsin.

They have cornerbacks from Michigan and California. They have multiple starters at various positions from the Chicago area. Their kicker is from South Carolina and their punter is from Australia.
