There's usually tells. Here are some examples:

The person can't speak any English despite being in the center of the US

They are consistently loitering in groups outside home depot

They are raping/murdering women and children

Not all the tell tale signs, obviously, but observation can be your friend in these moments..

I get it. Its just that the guy will make a couple of those off balance running three's in a game, and then he'll go ten games and not make any of those off balance chucks. No doubt, shooters have to shoot. I've often wanted to see Dix look for his shot more, and he seems to be getting with that more this season. He's the best three level scorer on this team. Thats why I was surprised when almost didn't shoot at all in the last one. Now we know he was still having issues with his wrist from the previous game.
