Weird stuff going on in Bennington, NE.

I've seen updates for several days on this story, and it looks like the police are making progress. Multiple people have reported that while driving a night they came upon debris in the road, and had to swerve to avoid hitting it. In one case the driver could not successfully avoid the debris and wound up in a ravine. Each driver reported a man walking up to them after the accident. The immediate speculation being that the man was putting the debris into the road to cause the incidents.

Breaking Down Each Portal Target + Confidence Meters

Broke down each portal target I believe Iowa has a legitimate shot at or has been in conversations with during this cycle.

Eligibility remaining, if they've visit or when they plan to, how likely I believe a commitment is for each target, + more.

Wet Roads Warning - The Libs are in full tear drops meltdown.

Drive carefully we appear to have a deluge of tears out there making the roads wet and slippery.

President-elect Donald Trump and the Big E put the brakes on this runaway federal spending. Pork barrel spending was squashed, pet projects were blown up.

The American taxpayer was not left with the bill this year before the usual Christmas dine and dash that Congress has become so used to doing.

This is only the beginning folks, our elected representatives of both parties need to realize the fun and games of the Biden Administration are over, it's time to go to work to Make America Great Again.

How have we, as a society, allowed this?

H11.

If you look up what kid of low beam headlight bulb your vehicle requires, it’s most likely an H11. Since 2005 or so, I haven’t pinged down the exact year, almost every single manufacturer has their low beam bulbs as the H11.

The cheapest, longest lasting option is rated for, per the listing, 250 hours. The brightest option is rate for 150-200 hours. I don’t need to tell you that’s not a lot

In comparison, a 9003 headlight bulb is rated for about 1000 hours. Every single other bulb on my shelf has a higher hour rating than the H11.

So my question is this. And it’s not solely regarding headlight bulbs.

Why do we continue to be okay with paying more for less quality?

For reference these are Silvania bulbs.

Uh Oh Noles!

Florida to Lose PornHub Access

PornHub is blocking website visits from Florida on the first day of 2025 in response to the state's new over-18 age verification law for access to adult websites.

On Tuesday, visitors to the pornographic video site in the state received a message saying: "You will lose access to PornHub in 14 days."

The site appeared to be saying in messaging that a requirement to provide driver's license details to gain entry will put everybody's privacy at risk.

Probably a pepsi

Found this thought about CC on a WNBA mess/B

This was on a long, on going thread about Caitlin…,

“”I don’t know what is more insane:

Megyn Kelly assuming she has a place in this conversation or Sheila Johnson chastising Clark’s award.

Caitlin Clark is a 1st Team All WNBA guard as a rookie. She has electrified her sport from Iowa and Indiana but is followed en masse across the USA and world wide.

She’s 22 years old and admits her flaws openly in interviews and also admits that she’s ****ing good without being a bragger.

Frankly, she’s the most compelling basketball player on the scene right now partially because she’s imperfect. She goes for it. She’s competitive and willing to fail. She pumps up teammates. She is out in the sporting scene. She credits her family. She’s funny.

I just don’t know how anyone can encounter this young adult and be anything but astonished. And those who feel the need to limit her accolades should instead focus on those who they believe should be celebrated because although in sports you only have one winner, in life and in this vast environment of media, we can celebrate many many more.

For example, I was thinking about Aliyah Boston yesterday and how impressive it was when she got her motor fully juiced, the way that she played all season. I played basketball last night, full court 5 on 5, and I was the biggest guy on the court - I like to pass and rebound, and originally I joked that I’m a little bit of Caitlin and a little bit of Angel (cus finishing around the rim is an area of opportunity for me, ha). But I realized last night that I might just kind of be more like AB. And one of the toughest things about being like AB, is having to play basket to basket, set physical screens, make smart decisions with the ball, rebound, protect the paint, hit your long range shots when you’re open…

I go on this rant to say, it’s really not that hard to celebrate someone who isn’t Caitlin. It’s also really not very hard to celebrate Caitlin. Why must we villainize Caitlin for celebrating others? Why must we villainize those who celebrate Caitlin? I’m both exhausted of it and fueled by how frustrating I find it.””””

Me…To those of you who don’t know better. Being political isn’t what you were put on this earth for. Not everything has to be so personal.

The woman from the Mystics IS stupid, Megan Kelley IS stupid.

Life is fickle and precious. Everyone should spend more time lifting people up and looking for the good in society not the bad🥰

How should IOWA Football divide roughly $16M in Revenue Sharing between the 105 Roster Players?

It won't happen, but if Iowa divided $16M evenly among the 105 players (85 scholarship, 20 walk ons), each player would receive $152,380.

If Iowa gave each of the 20 walk ons $10,000, that would leave $15,800,000 for the 85 scholarship players. If each of the 85 players were paid equally, each scholarship player would receive $185,882.

The $16M figure is based on what follows.

Gov. Kim Reynolds: Iowa ready to use National Guard, law enforcement for mass deportations

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds says she is ready to use "every tool at our disposal," including deploying the state's National Guard and law enforcement, to carry out President-elect Donald Trump's plans for "mass deportations" of illegal immigrants, according to a joint statement by Republican governors.

Trump has signaled he wants to see an overhaul of the country's immigration system, starting with deporting immigrants living in the country illegally who have violated the law.

"On Day 1, I will launch the largest deportation program in American history to get the criminals out," Trump said during his campaign's closing speech at Madison Square Garden.

Reynolds and 25 other Republican governors vowed in the statement to stand behind Trump's plans to seal the border to illegal immigrants, which they said President Joe Biden's administration failed to accomplish.

“Republican governors remain fully committed to supporting the Trump Administration’s efforts to deport dangerous criminals, gang members, and terrorists who are in this country illegally," the governors said in their statement. "We understand the direct threat these criminal illegal immigrants pose to public safety and our national security, and we will do everything in our power to assist in removing them from our communities."

Reynolds' office did not immediately respond to a request for additional information on how the National Guard and law enforcement might be deployed in the deportation effort.

Reuters: Trump to discuss ending childhood vaccination programs with RFK Jr.

Dec 12 (Reuters) - U.S. President-elect Donald Trump in an interview published on Thursday said he will be talking to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., his nominee to run the Department of Health and Human Services, about ending childhood vaccination programs.

When asked if he would sign off if Kennedy decided to end childhood vaccinations programs, Trump told Time magazine, "we're going to have a big discussion. The autism rate is at a level that nobody ever believed possible. If you look at things that are happening, there's something causing it."

When asked if the discussion could result in his administration getting rid of some vaccinations, Trump said: "It could if I think it's dangerous, if I think they are not beneficial, but I don't think it's going to be very controversial in the end."

Asked in the Nov. 25 interview if he thinks childhood autism is linked to vaccines, Trump said: "No, I'm going to be listening to Bobby," referring to Kennedy. Trump said he had a lot of respect for Kennedy and his views on vaccinations.
