The Iowa City Police Department has asked for the public’s help investigating a fatal shooting early Monday morning.



Police responded to a report of shots fired at 2:38 a.m. Monday in the 600 Block of S. Dodge Street, where they found a female shooting victim, according to a press release from the police department.


The victim was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced deceased. Her name has not been released pending notification of family, the release states.


Police asked that anyone with information about the incident, or anyone with security cameras in the area, contact the department at 319-356-5275 or Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers at 319-358-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

As we have been discussing in this thread since September 2023, one of the stipulations for the College Football Hall of Fame is you have to have won 60% of your games.

Assuming Kirk gets to 60% next season (which he currently is just below) and stays there, what say you?

Kirk has now been the head coach in 361 games. He's won 59.83% of those games.

To be at 60.00% (or better) at the end of the 2025 season, assuming a 13 game season, Kirk needs to go 9-4 (or better), which would put him at 225-149 (60.16%).
