Saying the quite part out loud

Because of his history as a died in the wool America-hater, I don't trust him ... but it's better than nothing

In his own words:
“After 2016, the legacy media wrote non-stop about how misinformation was a threat to democracy. We tried in good faith to address those concerns without becoming the arbiters of truth, but the fact-checkers have just been too politically-biased…”

Summer Vacation: Alaska vs Canadian Rockies

Merry Christmas ya filthy animals. My 35th birthday is this summer. Wife and I wanted to do a trip (no kids).

Idea 1: Southern Alaska like Anchorage and Denali. Would likely try to see things by train because it’s just such a massive area. Not really feeling a cruise as I’ve heard Alaskan cruisers are mostly on the older side.

Idea 2: Canadian Rockies. 3 or 4 national parks within short distances of each other, including Banff.

We’re not campers but will do short 2-3 mile hikes; some kayaking. Otherwise, just enjoy the peace and quiet next to a fire pit.

HBOT Thoughts?

Kirk/Hawks lose late lead for Nth time; what number do you think equals the N for Kirk's tenure?

I am saying 45 games over Kirks 26 years. That failure to be able to drive the ball, eat up the clock, and win the game.

Or do drive the ball and score to again get a lead bigger than 8 pts late in a game.

Man, we have seen this movie clip over and over. Back around the 2007 season I counted these up and it was about 1 to 1.5 games a year which is why I am going with the number 45 over 26 years.

We had two of them this year, ISU and Mizzou. Cant count the UCLA game although the hawks did give up a tied ball game for the losing ucla FG.

I dont think the hawks have overcome late deficits as much as giving up late leads, just my impression

Payton Sandfort earns Player of the Week Honors

University of Iowa senior Payton Sandfort has been named the Big Ten Co-Player of the Week and was also selected as Dick Vitale’s National Player of the Week.

He averaged 26.5 points, six rebounds and 3.5 assists in leading the Hawkeyes to wins over Nebraska and Indiana. He shot 55.6 percent from the floor, 52.6 percent from 3-point range and went 13-of-14 from the free throw line.

Only in America!

Most countries, 2 weeks before a new leader takes office his world is busy with cabinet appointments, selecting a staff, policy meetings and the like…..But in America, two weeks before taking office, MY President (elect) is busy harassing judges and trying to get his sentencing date “delayed”! What a COUNTRY!
I’m gonna have me some fun the few years observing and commenting on what America has wrought upon itself! Remember folks…..”Only the best!”
