Have you ever had a near death experience?

It took me awhile to process this and post it to HBOT, but last Tuesday I was driving on the highway and a freaking Tesla blew by me on the right side like I was standing still (I was doing 70 mph), hit a retaining wall, and bounced back into the traffic lanes hitting the car in front of me. Both vehicles started spinning and by the grace of God I threaded the needle and wasn't involved in the accident.
This isn't the first time a highway crash happened right in front of my eyes and I avoided becoming part of the crash. At least two other times in the past five years.

Am I lucky or unlucky? Should I stop driving before my luck runs out?

Help me process this HBOT. TIA.

Some players turned down money to stay put.

Zabel, a fifth-year senior, told ESPN he had multiple offers in the "high six figures" to go play at power conference schools. Gronowski told ESPN his offers, which were heavy on Big Ten and Big 12 schools, topped out at $1.2 million.

Despite eye-popping offers, they both stuck around, reminders of an era of college football before the transfer portal when continuity offered a distinct competitive advantage.

Iowa remains #1 in NCAA Women’s Rankings

It is great to be an Iowa Wrestling fan.

If Iowa State Can Get it Right, Why Can’t We?

I’ve seen numerous comments about how Iowa sports is in for a world of hurt when Fran and Ferentz move on. Iowa State has found two coaches that have brought them a lot of success, especially in basketball . Considering where they were in football Campbell has done a pretty amazing job. So if another school in our state with less conference money coming in, can get it right, what are we so afraid of? Sure, we could fail with a hire or two but eventually don’t you have swing for the fences? I am happy with the job KF has done but the end is near. Fran has us as a bubble or worse program with no hope of any Sweet 16. I just think we can be better than that once in a while.

Jackson Stratton SHOULD start vs Little Debbie. Hat Tip to Shaggy & Tim Lester. KF: "He's the leader of the group right now."

Iowa didn't need to pass much today; they ran it 58 times for 268 yards.

But when they did need to pass, Shaggy slung it and was accurate (there were balls that should have been caught).

Jackson's stats: 10-14, 76 yards, 0 INTs.

The color commentator said it best; Shaggy never made the same mistake twice.

Iowa (7-4) wins 29-13.

GO HAWKS!!!

Missed a huge opportunity

Prime time basketball. Big event with Tennessee and UCONN. Iowa's chance to show the nation they're a big time program even without Clark. WUFF!!

Not a big deal to lose, but Iowa just looked lost. It was embarrassing to watch them try and handle the basketball. Explain Iowa offense tonight? It wasn't even the full court pressure but the lazy passes in the half court that baffled me.

And where were the freshman in the second half? Could Jan have gone small on spurts to help handle the ball and get something going on offense? Seemed like she didn't make many adjustments.
