Iowa poll

I'm gonna try to hide this here, but over on the main Rivals board, I'm in the process of entrapping a Nebraska troll, of whom some or many of you are familiar with.

He is the mentally disturbed individual that like spams posts on this website with disposable usernames/accounts often mocking Iowa, the fans, etc.

He's more prevalent on the FB boards, but has occasionally been seen like spamming on the bball, HBOT, and wrestling boards as well. So while I'm attempting to "hide" this thread here on the wrestling board, I'm not operating under the illusion that this troll won't see it, which is fine.

I don't mind at all if he finds out that he's been set up. ;)

With that out of the way, all I ask from my fellow Hawk fans, is to click the link to the thread below and vote for Nebraska in the poll. I know most of you probably can't post on that main board unless you are subscribed to Rivals or your account was grandfathered in, but you should still be able to vote, and that's all that's needed.

The poll itself is merely a ruse to draw out as many of the spam accounts by this Nebraska fan so that the mods can delete them. There's already 28 accounts that he's created just to vote in this poll and unwittingly shared for the mods to delete.

I simply ask that you all help finish the job by helping Iowa win the poll and get the last laugh, as well.

P.S. please do be sure to read the poll first before voting

Oh, come on, pretty please (yes that's me begging) An Arctic Plunge Update

This is an Arctic Plunge update. I just checked and I am now in second place. Team 1 has $1275.00. My team has $1190. Also, team number three is gaining. I know if only a few of you would donate $25.00 - 50.00 (and maybe more) to my team I think we would be sitting pretty good . My goal is at least $1500.00. https://boom.hawkeyewrestlingclub.com/team/625106
I would be ever so thankful for your donations!

Musk says he can cut 2 trillion from the budget

Where does it come from? Using 2021 numbers (they were readily available), we have a budget of 7T

There is 1.6T in discretionary spending, should you consider things like VA benefits and the military "discretionary". About 855B of the discretionary budget is for those two items alone.

Then there is "mandatory" federal spending in the amount of 5.2T. There is about 172B again for the military and VA benefits. Social Security is 2.77T, and Medicare is 1.46T, for a total of 4.23T.

So if you add up 4.23T + 1T, there is 5.23T which is solely the military, VA benefits, social security, and medicare. So if the Trump administration cut every single budget item other than those items, which cannot be done, he would still come up 230B short.

I am not a government budgeting guru, so where does it come from?

If there's one thing the CFP has taught me it's that Iowa doesn't stand a chance to win a Natty. Ever.

Everyone was ripping on Indiana last night after losing to ND in such a lopsided way. As it turns out, 24 hours later all the other lower seeded teams got smoked in the same fashion. The 12 team playoff is just a ruse. A feel good hopeful moment for the teams that really don't belong against the blue bloods. And then reality will sink in. Football isn't basketball where a team can get hot for a couple days and make a deep run. In summary, the CFP sucks. And it shows even more that the Hawks will never be NT winners. Booooooooooooo!
