Then why aren't the Red States trying to bring as many is as possible?
Weird.
Because accepting the failed citizenry of shithole countries isn't a good strategy for civilized societies.

Of course House developed HR2 was a pipe dream,..But from the Senate's perspective it needed to be a starting point for the conversation,.. If that's what the Senate bill is supposed to be, there's a big separation to be negotiated here.
because now they need it for political theater and to scream about it to get electedThen why aren't the Red States trying to bring as many is as possible?
Weird.
No; meetings are the starting point for the conversation.
Because accepting the failed citizenry of shithole countries isn't a good strategy for civilized societies.
MAGA Republicans aren't negotiating, Cletus.Opposing bills become milestones of the negotiation process
unless the guy who gives everyone their marching orders says that no deals can be reached (until he's in office again)Opposing bills become milestones of the negotiation process,.. the conversation continues until common ground can be agreed upon....
Because accepting the failed citizenry of shithole countries isn't a good strategy for civilized societies.
Weird how that’s worked pretty good for us historically.
How can a bill that comprises the wish list of one party and offers NOTHING be considered a starting point? They’re literally starting with something that they already know the answer to.
There’s not one political fog leaf for Dems in that bill, and that’s not how you start a conversation.
Pretty certain he now lives in a shithole small town. You are probably a descendant of one of the European "shithole countries" of the 1800s/1900s, Cletus.
lol.No it hasn't.
Well now there are two bills that define the opposing positions,.. negotiations can proceed from here.
lol.
One of those bills is ALREADY bipartisan, it represents both sides as is!
Short of democrats conceding to every demand from the House GOP there’s no negotiating that can occur here. They’re not behaving in good faith here.
Negotiations at this point become Senate vs House,.. get out the popcorn.
There will be no negotiation. The House gop has already said the senate bill is dead.
And Schumer refused to consider H.R.2.
There will be no negotiation. The House gop has already said the senate bill is dead.
The Senate bill was a compromise from both parties.
HR2 was not.
Understand that difference?
Because accepting the failed citizenry of shithole countries isn't a good strategy for civilized societies.
Correct,.. House needs to develop, pass, and turn over to the Senate a compromise bill.
A compromise between warhawks that care more about the MIC and Ukraine than their own country.
You started by talking about how everyone is uninformed and then went on to show how uniformed you are. It's been effective though so I guess why stop now.People who say things like that have zero understanding about how immigration, and undocumented immigrants, actually work.
Just a reminder, improper entry (aka illegally entering) the US is not a criminal act, it's a civil offense. Undocumented immigrants won't be removed unless they commit a crime while in the US and after they have either paid their fine or served their sentence. And even once they are documented, which most eventually are, it's still going to be nearly a decade (very short version for most undocumented, it's generally multiple decades) before they can become a citizen)
And also a reminder, the GOP were in full control of the executive and legislative branches while Trump was POTUS and did jack s*** to address immigration other than blatantly unconstitutional actions that didn't do anything to address undocumented immigrants, terrorism or crime. Why? Because they don't want to take away a campaign talking point to hit at democrats with, despite the fact that the democrats actually try to address the issues and never get cooperation from the GOP.
But again, the people who bitch and moan about "illegals" (they aren't illegal) a) don't care about learning anything about the issues and b) don't actually want to do anything about this issue other than ban immigration. Why those two things? Because most people who bitch and moan about immigration are racist POS.
Edited because I repeated myself in there
You're talking to a brick wall (literally in terms of intelligence) with Northern. He's nothing but a spouse abusing twat waffle. If you seriously think that’s going to happen, I’d like the name of your dealer.
Why do you get to be the arbiter for what qualifies as a compromise?
Members of the two major parties got together and produced a bill that both sides can live with. Whether or not you agree with the end product, that’s the definition of a compromise.
This has been the Democrat plan for a while now. Not sure how it can can denied.Musk says Biden opened border floodgates so Democrats can stay in power
Musk, a legal immigrant from South Africa, went on to pin his post to the top of his X page account, adding in the caption "This explains why there are so few deportations, as every deportation is a lost vote."
"As happened this week, you can literally assault police officers in broad daylight in New York, be released with no bail, give everyone the finger and *still* not be deported!! Outrageous."

Elon Musk has railed against President Biden’s approach the southern border arguing he letting millions of people into the country so Democrats can permanently stay in power.www.foxnews.com

Enough that they are filibuster proof, I’ve heard it could easily get 70 votes combined. How many members?

So maybe 20 Republicans out of the entire senate and house. Warhawks and Mitt. Congratulations!
the only bill they would support would be one sentence long:Oh no, it might not have unanimous approval…
It’s okay to admit there’s no bill here that could ever possibly satisfy you, and save us all some time..

Do whatever Trump says.
it's their only real policy, regardless of the topic of discussion
enforcing current law means you can't just "end the sham asylum claims"...current law doesn't allow for immediate deportation just because you (or anyone else) thinks their claim is a sham. if they claim asylum...they go into the process. that's the current lawYou could start enforcing current laws that are being ignored, end the sham asylum claims and build massive detention centers for starters.
I get that. Change that and start enforcing the laws that they're currently ignoring.enforcing current law means you can't just "end the sham asylum claims"...current law doesn't allow for immediate deportation just because you (or anyone else) thinks their claim is a sham. if they claim asylum...they go into the process. that's the current law
THAT'S ONE OF THE MAIN PROBLEMS THE PROPOSED BILL IS TRYING FIX!
Apparently, you don't.I get that.
are you serious?I get that. Change that and start enforcing the laws that they're currently ignoring.
He totally doesn't get it.are you serious?
this bill changes that. and it's being rejected. not even allowed to be voted on
without this bill (or something similar) all the issues with the asylum system remain
don't blame me, i voted for the guy who employs illegal immigrants at his various resorts and golf coursesDon’t blame me, I voted for the guy whose wife entered the country illegally and then got legalized.
are you serious?

So, the "plan" is and apparently has been to get illegals immigrants across the boarder (in couples) that will one day have kids who then grow up to be democratic voter? How long has this plan been going and how well has it worked? Do you have any specific data?Of course they are.
1. Let illegals in. Give them handouts.
2. Illegals that you have given freebies to end up having children. Those children vote.
3. Illegals count in the census resulting in more electoral power.
4. Constantly push for amnesty and hope that everyone ultimately capitulates.
yeah...you seem to have a real lock on the actual contents of the bill so we'll just take your vague assertions at face value...This bill is window dressing on asylum along with countless goodies for the dems.
Add to that the fact that this adminstration has encouraged the surge. They are not trustworthy.
