Let's say modern-day Kirk Ferentz coached that game. After which fumble would Ferentz have benched Ronnie Harmon?

LOL, BAD GAME??? You know the backstory on this, right? Not ao sure KF would have pulled him Who was backup RB that year. Kevin Harmon??
ronnie was a stud. He had bad game but don’t think you bench him as he was the big play threat
The funny part with the back story is that neither Hayden nor Kirk believe(d) it.LOL, BAD GAME??? You know the backstory on this, right?

And our defense gave up 45 pts to a 3 loss UCLA team.
10000 multi purpose yards in the NFL. Only guy in NFL history I read to average over 4.5 yards per carry on 500 career carries and 10 yards a reception. 8 catches in the Super Bowl. Most versatile and best back we’ve ever had in the modern era and not even close. And our defense gave up 45 pts to a 3 loss UCLA team.
He was in 2006 when Iowa hosted Ohio State.Wonder why he has never been welcomed back as an honorary captain?
Iowa handled this well. Don't air your dirty laundry in public, and let sleeping dogs lay. Would not have got to the Rose Bowl without Ronnie Harmon.Always hate this topic. Objectively it appears clear something was amiss. A couple fumbles were on good hits however probably not more so than in the Big 10. A couple not so much. That dropped pass was bad. Especially cause that was his strength. I don’t know that Kirk would bench him however. If Shonn Greene looked “off” would KF have benched him? Don’t know. But back then much easier for guys to be “on the take” without all the social media, etc. and the NFL money was much less even for very good players back then. Now if you were going to be a top 3 round draft pick be surprised people would “throw” a game so who knows.

I would just like to add that not only was there the Rose Bowl debacle, but wasn't there at least one incidentin a playoff game in the NFL where Harmon supposedly fumbled or dropped a pass on purpose, and that that is why Buffalo traded him? I may be off base on this, but seem to recall that.
If that is true, then it just adds more circumstantial evidence to the theory that the 1986 Rose Bowl was a fraud.
some please enlighten me.

So Ronnie also played on D?KF never would have yanked him. Just like Hayden. Or do you not remember the Indiana game @ Kinnick in which Stanzi threw, I think, five INTs--three or four in one quarter--and never missed a snap?
The Harmon Rose Bowl will live on as long as the Hawkeyes play football as, perhaps, the most inscrutable performance on the biggest stage by an All-American in Iowa history... ...that Ronnie was single-handedly giving the Rose Bowl win to UCLA.

He played for 12 years in the NFL. People of poor character normally don’t make more than a few years. Do you know him personally?
A poor kid from Queens signed with an agent in college? Terrible.
A senior, one of top ball handlers in the country? neverLet's say modern-day Kirk Ferentz coached that game. After which fumble would Ferentz have benched Ronnie Harmon?
I feel the same way.He was the best player I have ever seen at Iowa.Period.
So Ronnie also played on D?
45-28.
Despite Ronnie's uncharacteristic bad day, 28 could have won this anyway.
