2 More Years of 6-7 Wins or Less

6-4

Trash.

Btw...........funny fact. At the beginning of the year you kept just posting our record as an intentional means to "clap back" at the pessimists on this board, and yet it turns out their pessimism won out anyway, because this team is gonna finish 7-5 in the regular season just like they do every year they lose to Iowa State under Kirk, and in 2024 that's factually not good enough.

No amount of spamming our record will change the fact that this program needs to move on from Kirk and his staff. Tonight's game is all the evidence you need. It's not getting any better under Kirk.
Read better. I've explained many times, and it has been beyond obvious, that I post a team's record in stat-based threads. The record is THE stat.

I believe there's a recent basketball thread about stats after the first game where I've posted, "1-0". In '22, I can almost guarantee you there was a football stat thread in which my contribution was to post the team's record of 8-5. You honestly think I was bragging about an 8-5 record or something?

Figure it out. I'm not a stat guy

I never made a prediction of 9-3. Your stalking skills have gone downhill
You’re right. My mistake. It was 10-2/11-1. That’s even worse!

From August 10: “I hope Iowa wins all of their games. I really don't like to put any number of losses into the atmosphere because I'm trying to will an undefeated season with all my might. But since you insist, I'll go with 10-2 or 11-1 and instantly trick myself that I didn't say that”

No comment needed.

Exactly.

You don't post it to provide any simplistic statistical value. You do it to antagonize.

Problem is, you're also not a pessimist nor are you a realist.

You're basically punching your own nuts so the school bully doesn't have to, except you have to do it every day because the bully is willing to play the same long game you thought you could play.............

I think the majority of people could put up with one more year of Kirk, so he could get the record, if they knew he would voluntarily step down the following year. I think next year, after he picks up the wins he needs, the wolves will be out in full force for a change. Let's hope he makes the right choice for himself and the program!

They'll be out shopping!

No, that would be "subjective".

"Objectivity" is looking a at 25 year record book.

Football fans are spazes
The objective average of 25 years doesn't necessarily represent current trends. You could look at objective measurements of my hairline for the last 25 years and it wouldn't give you a true picture of how it's trending. (it ain't pretty).

The underlying message in your post is and has always been clear. KFz has had a good career overall including some great seasons. Therefore you're willing to overlook and or forgive his shortcomings...particularly what has happened to the offense over the last few years. Just say that and be honest.

BTW, since you're such a stickler for accuracy the word you're looking for is "spazzes".

I couldn't begin to have a clue what you're talking about.

Here's some advice for when you actually have to deal with real people, with real names, in real face-to-face situations: stop mischaracterizing their intentions. Especially when they've taken the time to explain exactly what their intentions are. I, for one, don't appreciate it.

Yes, in this thread I posted "6-4", as a joke, only after you resorted to no longer conversing at face value. I have never given one reason for anyone to question the honesty of my posts.

Again, if there is a thread about stats or rankings, my standard contribution for years has been to quote the team's record. That's really the only stat that matters.

Why do you think there's a recent basketball
thread about some ranking metric in which I've posted, "2-0"?

Why do you think I was posting in threads last week about the meaninglessness of increased offensive production when a team's record has gotten worse?

I'm not going to continue to explain myself. If you continue to choose not accept what I've explained at face value, then that would reflect poorly upon you if anyone actually knew who you were

Why?...........................................

Because f*** Wisconsin, that's why.

Maybe I'm not up to date on these recent trends and shortcomings. Last season Iowa won 10 games. The season prior, 9 games. How far back are we supposed to go?

The only thing that has been getting "overlooked" is Iowa's recent success in the W/L column, by many fans.

Iowa's offensive production could not be more meaningless to me. The poor production didn't keep Iowa from averaging 9 wins over the last two seasons. And the increased offensive production this season has done nothing to improve Iowa's record.

Not to mention there were some very clear reasons for the offensive struggles the last two seasons that in no way should be mistaken for a trend

Man, I don’t have a dog in this fight, but something else people need to do when dealing with real people is pick and choose their battles.

People like to be entertained when they watch their team. It was a good show for a couple games, but last week was BAD!
9-3 feels a lot better when you put up points, rather than last year's defensive team 9-10 wins. I like a good defensive game once in a while, but most weeks I'd rather see Iowa outscoring their opponent. That's probably why Fran gets a pass, when they don't play much defense. The average fan wants to see offense over defense.

They score more points than their opponent in 8 games.

Possibly more.

Not sure why anyone is worried about next year. It's the end of the bye week, so I'm guessing Iowa is putting their attention on Maryland and today's practice
That doesn't count, jackwad. Your response to the OP:

"6-7 wins or less?

There's absolutely no logic to support this prediction."

Well, his "logic" is probably that Iowa will score more points than their opponent in fewer than 8 games. That's the same as your "logic." So why did you criticize him? Come up with something better.

(You're not nearly as smart as you think you are)
