2023 World Championships coming up!

Agree 100%. A prime Sadulaev and prime Snyder aren’t on the same level. I’m honestly surprised Snyder has had the success he has. He’s pretty one dimensional in my eyes and seems like one of the easier wrestlers to scout and game plan for, but he’s obviously good at what he does.
I don't think I would call Snyder one dimensional, but I do put Sadulaev on another level.

Snatch single is about the only thing he hits. Doesn’t get many turns
Yet, in his last 49 matches, the only person in the world who seems to be able to beat this one dimensional wrestler is Sadulaev. What does that say about the rest of the world?

I didn’t say he wasn’t good. I said he’s good at what he does.

86 is the same, no one is close to Taylor or Yaz. Only person that even gives Yaz or Taylor a match is each other.

Yeah. You're wrong on this one. He has a really big tool belt.

Snaps
drags
underhook
snatch single
high crotch
ankle pick
low single

What you're watching is Snyder taking what's available. Early in his career he was ankle picking everyone. So guys starting standing up more to stop that. He uses his underhook a lot more now and yes, a snatch single. His primary weapon now though, is his snap and snap to a high-c.

He pulls out what he needs. One thing that he's developed since being at NLWC is a driving double. He doesn't quite have the timing yet for it to look like JB, but he uses it well to get to leg(s) - yes, he usually finishes it as a single.

His low single is still there - watch his Olympic Finals match against Sadulaev. It's clear that was a new gameplan that, le sigh, Sadulaev still had an answer for.

It's really hard to turn the best guys - but Snyder turns everyone he SHOULD. I think you need to take a deeper dive into Snyder. Is he far less dynamic than he used to be? Sure - but that's because everyone is wrestling him a certain way - trying to hold him off. Goleij in 2021 did this the best.

I did go back and watch a few of his matches today and I’ll admit I was wrong.
His snap downs and heavy hands really impressed me in the matches i rewatched. Would be nice to have him show a few of our guys how to use those snaps to set up shots. After watching them today it did actually impress me how diverse he can be on his feet and how I missed that I’m not real sure. So I will retract my one dimensional statement if I’m still allowed to do that 😉

Never admit you're wrong. Never. At this point cesspool rules require at least 15 posts consisting entirely of denials, gaslighting, goal-post moving, and then personal insults.

Brackets have been released for men's freestyle

Brackets and Flo's Analysis

I haven't gone too far into them yet but at 74kg, Dake and Sidakov are on opposite sides of the bracket but at 97kg, Sadulaev was drawn into Snyder's semi

Obviously there is no easy roads here but this is my take.
Vito and N. lee look like they have worst draws of the bunch.
Interested to see how Richards does, He has elevated his wrestling but I am not expecting much.
Zain is lined up as best to be expected and so is Marsteller.
Taylor and Yaz nothing else to see there,
I like where Snyder could meet Saduleav I think it bodes well for him.
74kg is loaded and Chizmo is in the bottom with Dake but I like Dake to win it all.
Heavy is all over the map, but I can see Parris taking a loss the first round and who knows from there.

Yup...he looked one dimensional his freshman year and developed that ankle pick and rode it all the way to a world title. He may look like just a "physical" guy but there is a lot of stuff going on there with his technique.

Youngest Olympic gold too in USA wrestling history , yes Chief?
I let my pups out every morning around 3:00 AM. Looks like I'm not going back to bed tomorrow morning. 🤣
Coverage starts at 3:30AM central.

3 rescue Heinz 57's from Vegas, Virginia, and Fort Lauderdale.
Harrison from Virginia is gay and not into wrestling. He won't hang.
Fergie, Vegas show girl, she won't hang.
Pudgie, fat boy from Fort Lauderdale. He's bi-lingual (English & Spanish) little badass. He grew up on the streets.
He's a Maltese and a mix of who knows what. Loyal to the bone. He will be with me. 🤣🤣
He will watch wrestling with me all night and all day.

Can't wait! Got my alarms set.

How many medals you think USA is coming home with?
Zain, Taylor, Dake, Snyder. After that it's a crap shoot. Paris is an animal , he could medal, I'm not sold though. Richards, let's hope he shocks us. Vito, wow, he's improved so much. I could see Vito anywhere from being shut out to winning it. Chance, has a shot at a medal. love to see it. Light bracket as far as volume.
Zahid, who shows up? I was in Vegas, he was too busy acting like a star and not focused. Just my unqualified opinion. Light bracket though. If he's focused on business he's capable of being on the podium.
Lee, tough road.
I leave anyone out? Lol

I believe so. Think he was 19 and some change when he won worlds in 2015.

Gable willing’ and the creek don’t rise, I should be up. Going to be a long couple of days.

Yeah, for mat assignments, the UWW arena is hit and miss for loading. Floarena is working(for now).
Flo is putting up the replays very quickly on the brackets. Easy to rewatch anything we might miss.
