****2025-26 Chicago Bears Thread 🏆****

Bad news, the 2025 draft for centers is weak, and the FA class is weaker, especially if Drew Dalman sticks with the Falcons.
They desperately need an upgrade at center.

No worries, the Bears have a history of flexibility at the position, with Whitehair, Patrick and Bates all playing guard and center. Granted, none of that worked out, but it might be the best option after seeing all of the options.

The Chicago Bears have a big problem. They have not established
a winning culture since the Lovie Smith tenure. To Coach the Bears
is not the most desirable job in the NFL.

Mike McCarthy is 61 years old and probably lacks the energy needed
to turn the Bears into a winner. His NFL record as a Head Coach is
174 wins and 112 losses. He won one Super Bowl in 2011 with GB Packers.

This is what the bears do to you... they wear you down until eventually you accept their shitty decisions bc at the end you just want to have hope. I'm over here talking myself into Mike fuvking Mccarthy and Pete Carroll...

Really wishing the Bears had hired Harbaugh last year. I'm not at all confident in them making a good hire.

his redzone numbers were phenomenal. He was under fire all year, with a dipshit head coach and 2 oc's
I'm not saying the guy is dog shit, I do think he is better than Fields. I think looking at the roster like a report card we took a "c" and upgraded to a "b" and there were several "d's" that could have been addressed and resulted in more wins.

* and to your point the value was likely better.

The Bears, thought Williams was an "A", which at this point I don't see. He doesn't have the command of the huddle like a Josh Allen, PM, Lamar.

A good comp for him might be Purdy.

Ben Johnson seems to be everyone’s pick, but what makes you think he can assemble a staff and lead an entire staff / team? He’s rumored to want to keep calling plays, and few head coaches do that well while running everything else

What's the bottom line?

Just completed their interview with Arthur Smith this morning. Coach Harris from Revenge of the Nerds is waiting in the reception area for this afternoon

The Score reported today that Brian Flores is coming in Saturday for an interview, and this will fulfill the Rooney Rule. Let’s not discuss that, but why in TF didn’t they meet this requirement a week ago? Just ask Thomas Brown a few questions before he cleans out his office.

I think Rivera met it…or do you have to interview 2 minority candidates?
