That is an effing joke. All on the coaches. Can’t run out of running formations into stacked 9 man fronts.

Was really hoping we would stretch the field more, both out of formations, where guys line up, and vertically. Seemed to move the ball better on drives heavy on pass.

Coaches are so effing stubborn. This is bad.

This can't be restated enough, we've seen it for years. QB audible out to a run to the opposite side only to end up with nothing. Hell I can see this every time you think guys who get paid for a living don't enjoy toying with us to waste a down...ugh.

That's why you need to throw in fake audibles in too though. When the d line is owning it won't always matter, but at least should try.

Yep that definitely happened on multiple occassions. And even if they weren't bluffing, they made it obvious there was a blitz coming to bait Stanley into audibling into what they knew would be a run that would get stuffed. These coaches need to let/encourage Stanley to audible into pass plays.

Agree. Iowa's offensive line is bad at best right now. They can't afford to let the defense dictate play calls by baiting Stanley into checking to runs. BF has his work cut out for him to say the least.

Brian Ferentz isn't gaining my confidence as OC. How many 1st down runs getting stuffed before he figures out that call isn't working? He need not worry, his job is secure. (of course the defense against Iowa doesn't need to respect the pass)

Makes it extremely easy to game plan against us. In nearly every other game I watch, you rarely ever see teams stack the line, with LB’s only 2-3 yards off LOS, and deepest player only 8 yards off, and corners playing up on the line. Unbelievable.

We win when defenses give us even a semblance of breathing room, and fall flat on our faces when defenses scheme like today.

I think it was 18 yards rushing. That great spot in the 3rd qtr helped us get to 19 yards.

We ran the ball pretty well last year, but couldn't pass protect. This year, pass protection is okay, not great but our run game is getting stuffed. Seems like we always end up with offense that is too flawed to score. If they did't have Wadley to win Isu game, we'd be 2-3 now with only wins vs Wyoming and N. Texas.

Run game sucks because the passing game is non existent. Why? O Line is horrendous. When there is a hole, Wadley dances instead of hitting it full speed. Would much rather see Young and Kelly-Martin. Coach P better get this line figured out, or this season is over.

One thing never changes tho... the assts might change, but the HC philosophy doesn't... keep it close with a chance to win it in the 4th quarter.

BTW: This might be contributing to the inability to recruit elite skill position players.

Bad O-line play
Too many possession receivers vs field stretchers equals condensed operating spaces.
Recruiting seems to be trending up, hope some more explosiveness at Wr is on the to do list, of course this is my hope every year.
I do think the team will get better, And I do believe the O-line will come around. 8-4 is still doable.
