Roster cuts are kinda crazy.
The 49ers roster, as an example, last night was at 90. They have 37 roster moves to make to reach the regular-season limit of 53 players before the deadline of Saturday at 1 p.m.

Here is a running list of the moves the 49ers are making to trim their 90-man roster.
RB Brandon Wilds
The 49ers released running back Brandon Wilds, a league source told NBC Sports Bay Area. The club signed Wilds earlier in the week to appear in the final preseason game. Wilds played just one snap from scrimmage on Thursday against the Los Angeles Chargers. The 49ers
confirmed the transaction Friday afternoon.
CB Quinten Rollins
The 49ers released cornerback Quinten Rollins, a source told NBC Sports Bay Area. Rollins entered the league as a second-round draft pick of the Green Bay Packers in 2015. The 49ers
confirmed the transaction Friday afternoon.
CB Jordan Holland
The 49ers released cornerback Jordan Holland, reports Matt Barrows of The Athletic. Holland, the son of 49ers outside linebackers coach Johnny Holland, was signed this week to appear in the team's final preseason game. Holland played 45 snaps on defense and nine on special teams. The 49ers
confirmed the transaction Friday afternoon.
OL Wesley Johnson
The 49ers released veteran offensive lineman Wesley Johnson, reports The Athletic. Johnson played three seasons with the New York Jets and appeared in 10 games last season with the Miami Dolphins. The 49ers
confirmed the transaction Friday afternoon.
CB Chris Campbell
The 49ers released Chris Campbell, whom the club signed earlier in the week, reports the NFL Network. Campbell played 39 snaps on Thursday. The 49ers
confirmed the transaction Friday afternoon.
CB Dontae Johnson
The 49ers released cornerback Dontae Johnson, a league source told NBC Sports Bay Area. Johnson played for the 49ers from 2014 to '17. He returned this offseason after spending time with Seattle, Buffalo, Arizona and Kansas City. The 49ers
confirmed the transaction Friday afternoon.
DL Jay Bromley
Defensive lineman Jay Bromley, a five-year NFL veteran from Syracuse, was released, The Athletic reported. Bromley previously played four seasons with the New York Giants before appearing in two games last season with the New Orleans Saints. The 49ers
confirmed the transaction Friday afternoon.
TE Tyree Mayfield
The 49ers waived the undrafted rookie from Wyoming, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network
reported Friday. Mayfield caught two passes for 12 yards in the preseason. The 49ers
confirmed the transaction Friday afternoon.
OT Sam Young
The 49ers picked up
Sam Young, a nine-year NFL veteran, after the club's presumptive swing tackle, Shon Coleman, sustained a season-ending dislocated ankle and fractured lower leg. But the club has decided to release Young, NBC Sports Bay Area has confirmed. Adam Schefter of ESPN first reported the team's decision to release Young. The 49ers
confirmed the transaction Friday afternoon.
LS Kyle Nelson suspended
Long-snapper Kyle Nelson held a spot on the team's 90-man roster, but he must serve the final six games of his
10-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
TE Garrett Celek remains on PUP
Tight end Garrett Celek underwent offseason back surgery, which will leave him unavailable until the middle of the season. He is transferred from active/physically unable to perform, on which he accounted for a spot on the 90-man roster, to reserve/PUP, which opens up a roster spot. He remains eligible for a midseason return, if he receives medical clearance
