25- I hope both Wagner and Stickley can make this weight and push each other for the spot. Stickley could still RS.

33- It appears Paul Glynn might be taking a run at 33 next year after going 60kg this weekend. I figure Laux is the favorite but Glynn has improved a lot and might not be that far behind. Rathbun will probably throw his name in the hat but I figure he's a little behind those two.

41- I was hoping to see Happel at 60kg this weekend or at the very least 63kg. Him going 66kg probably says 133 next year is out of the question. He looked undersized at 66kg. Looks like Shaw might try to get down to 41. I figure Turk is still the favorite for the spot if he can make the weight with Happel and Shaw on his heals. Meyer and Glosser might give 41 a shot also.

I like how Marinelli and Young looked this weekend. Glad to see Young going 79kg. Now he has 6months to put on some more size and I'm sure that's exactly what he will do.

There have been a lot of good things said about Turk over the last 2 yrs so I hope he can stay healthy next year. I would also hope he can go up to 149 after Sorensen graduates.

63 is not a world weight. There wasn't a point to go there. 60 is just not in the cards. Just too big.

141: Turk or Happel

165: The Bull
174: Young
184: Wilcke
197: ???
Hwt: Holloway then Stoll when he is ready

Any chance we could see Brownlee at 84 and Cash at 97? And once Stoll is back move Cash to 84 and Holloway to 97?
No. Don't forget about Bowman. If Cash goes 84 and lord I hope he does. Then Bowman would go 97 if Holloway goes heavy. I hope Holloway goes 97 and Bowman goes heavy. Bowman did have a match this year at 84,97,&heavy. Bowman would be a tiny heavy but its the only option if Holloway goes 97 because I'm pretty sure Costello will RS. If Cash goes 97 Bowman would be the guy at 84. Summary...
84 Cash
97 Holloway
285 Bowman until Stoll is back. This is what I think would be best for the team, but will see if it plays out that way.

Bowman already beats Holloway. Holloway was on full feed last year bowman was beating him

Hadn't heard this before. If true, our best lineup is probably

184 Wilke
197 Bowman
285 Holloway (until big Sam gets back)

If Wilke is bulking up for 197, maybe he and Bowman switch spots. Hopefully the plan is in motion.

I have a feeling Bowman, Wilcke, & Holloway are all very close to each other. There matches are probably a one TD difference, RT point, or OT win. I feel Wilcke is the best option at 84 to beat other 84 pounders across the country, Holloway is the best option at 97 to beat other 97 pounders across the country. I could really care less who beats who in the room because they are so close to each other and have been wrestling each other for years now. Who is gonna make the podium and get bonus points while doing it next year. Wilcke 84, Holloway 97, Bowman Heavy til Stoll returns is how I see it.

Wilcke showed that he can perform when the chips are down, but I'd rather see him settle in at his natural weight and see how well he develops there. His performance at Nationals notwithstanding, I felt like he really wore down as the year progressed and lost some aggressiveness. I could see wrestling up a weight being at least partially responsible for that. As for 197/285, let Bowman and Holloway battle it out and keep the seat warm for Warner. I doubt either sees the lineup at 197 (baring injury) after 2017-2018...

If true wouldn't Bowman have wrestled hwt for us last year the majority of duals instead of Holloway? Or was it a Ramos-Clark type deal?

Bowman was so undersized for 285 that they probably figured Holloway would fare better against the heavies due to size. Bowman at 190 may be able to beat a 210-220 lb Holloway but isn't going to be able to hang with a true heavy due to size difference. Still not sure if it has been confirmed that Bowman is beating Holloway in the room though (not questioning the original poster of this info, just not sure if it was a consistent thing or a one practice kind of thing).
