A big part of the problem is this: Our 2013, 2014 & 2015 classes

No way Cook was 4 star. I believe he was 2 star or low 3

He was a 4 star by ESPN and 3 star by Rivals. But he was ranked as an athlete, not QB. I think Cook would be our starter next year if Stanley hadn't come in and performed so well. I still think he'll make a nice tightend though before it's all said and done.

the OL has been reshuffled 3 times this season, 4 of the preseason starters now back, with 3 of them NOW playing in new positions;
Welsh has been moved from RG to RT
Render has been moved from LG to RB
Myer has been moved from LT to LG
RSFR is now the starting LT.

SORRY but this has handicapped the OL in performing at a high level. I am also sorry that Iowa is not racking 600+ total yards of Offense and is not avgi'ing over 50 ppg andis not 5-0 and ranked in the top 4
Doesn't change the fact that the o line has been bad.

I disagree Easley is looking pretty good 2nd on the team in yards but leads the team in receptions with 20 and 3 TD's. TE Hochenson is avg'ing 14.5 ypc on 8 catches Smith-Marsette is avg'ing 14.9 ypc on 7 catches with 2 TD's. 12 different players have caught passes thru 5 games,

do me a favor and take the haters glasses off already.
We've played 3 shit teams, one good team, and one average team. I'm not a hater, just realistic. It's no secret Iowa does not have a good receiving corps.

He's made some big catches, time will tell.
you have never played the game, maybe on your X-Box, 5 players can't block 8. Iowa now has 4 of the preseason starters back in different spots but they are back. thru 5 games 12 different players have caught passes, even DE Epenesa has caught a pass,
Easley leads the team in catches and is 2nd in receiving yards
Wadley is leading the team in receiving yards.
Stanley is on Pace to shatter Stanzi season starting stats
Stanzi 150-254 1956 yards, 59.1% 14 TD's, 9 INT's QB rating 134.8
Stanley 80-136 1043 yards, 58.8% 12 TD's, 1 INT QB rating of 150.9

to do that somebody must be pretty good.

If we took a drink every time Kilroy talked about an Xbox my liver would shut down.

Dear Kilroy,

The next time you are in your local Wal-Mart stop by the electronic section and play the NFL demo. Your going to be surprised to find that in 2017 the games are incredibly life like with defenses and play calling. Your consistent reference to "Xbox" or "video game numbers" only shows how out of touch you are.

Also, per usual your post is a complete excuse maker. Hey guess what next year we are going to replace 3 linebackers, is that going to be your excuse next year "we are young". They play for 4 years, there is constant turnover. I will say Easley has been a pleasant surprise but what we gained from him seems to have been lost with MVB. Maybe I remember something that doesn't exist but IMO Matt has been a major let down this year.

NEXT season I see Jewell as the key piece that is leaving, here are the possible replacements by grade
WLB Bower by RSSR Mends
LEO Niemann who was a converted WR could be replaced by his younger brother Nick who will be a RSSO @ 6'4 220 lbs a LB in HS
MLB Jewell by RSSO Welch at 6'3 232 lbs
they will have 3 years or more in the system vs when the outgoing SR's started.
JJ started as a RSFR
Ben Niemann who started as as True SO
Bower who was the starting LEO as a RSFR, then backed up JJ at MLB for year then started at the WLB his RSJR and RSSR Years.

I am not worried about the players replacing them

I didn't ask if your worried. With your blind faith in this staff doesn't have room foe you to be worried. I'm wondering if your going to use the crutch next year. Then when x has a replacement if that's going to be the reason for 7-5. What I'm saying is every program in the country graduates players and has injuries somehow other teams are able to make it work. You would think after 19 years there would be less "rebuild" and a little more "reload" even at iowa.
