A new GOP House proposal is set to ban trans women from women's bathrooms at the capitol building to target first trans Rep, Sarah McBride

Partly due to that ad coming in relatively late; but also the Harris campaign tried to create an ad to counter that, but couldn’t create one in the time available that’d be effective. 30 sec bits don’t do well when dealing with nuance.

Similar thing happened on the economic message. Voters just see high grocery prices and believed trumps message that the economy was a wreck, and didn’t listen/believe Biden/Harris campaigns when they tried to explain that.
both of these are huge failures on the part of the democrat party. The economic message is understandably hard to sell given the fact that there is inflation, just way better off than other countries but it's like they don't even try.

Nothing Harris could have said or done regarding transgender prisoners would have changed a single vote. The anti-trans vote is clearly with the Republicans regardless of laws. I bet the law providing transgender treatment in prisons doesn't change while Trump is President either.
BS: the republicans painted the picture while democrats posed. That is the usual problem.

it does, especially when you have a presidential candidate advocating for providing hormone treatments for prisoners. That commercial is not propaganda and was as damning as any video made for the election.
It only takes a small group of zealots to damn the whole party when no one else shouts them down.
I'm as big a voter for democrats as anyone, my mind was already made up and even I found that commercial offensive. People in the middle or religious, like latinos, may have seen that commercial and been done with harris.
You may not like it, the LGBTQ community may not like it but it's a losing position. Heck, there are many gays who hate this trans position the party has put up with.
That’s a you problem, friend. Live and let live.

11 pages in and were still at odds over the most basic of common sense issues.

Men should not be in women's spaces.
Will you admit you don’t think it ends with kids in sports? Now it’s going into a private stall and expelling waste from your body. I also note it’s only about male to female for you. You got a hang up in your browser history we should know about?
When it’s banning trans citizens from the military, or banning trans citizens from federal jobs, you are going to stand up and say that’s too far, right?

yes, it's a me problem because not only do I have to deal with the results of an election where people voted for the most unqualified man to ever hold the office.
I have to also deal with the problem created by people/democrats that believe they their beliefs helped cause the problem and help make the other idiots vote that way.

"owning the libs" is a direct result of things like this.

I can’t help it that bigotry is effective, and that marginalizing and demonizing a group of citizens is effective for posters like Northern. I can only point out how irrational it is to be swayed by it.
Every time I go to UIHC there is a prisoner there from the IMCC. I don’t sit there and judge and say we should deny them the health care they and their doctor agree on. We agree to their health care when we incarcerate them. If they are healthier mentally and physically when they come out of prison so much the better.
