Thanks for this. It actually brought out a solid laugh and a long lasting smile! I didn't want to drag out a long religious and/or political debate. But, I just can't stand when an important topic gets summarily dismissed by using the Religion card. To me, Abortion is too big of a topic to get that type of backhanded treatment. With that said, I get both sides of the argument and do not mean to push a debate either way. I simply wanted to separate Religion from it!Too late:

Thanks, man. A lot of what I do for the community is in my spare time at work, during the day.
We have a program distributing food to those in need during certain hours of the day. But hunger happens at all hours and I’ve been providing those services when in the office during that program’s off hours.
I’ve been trying to stay out of social service situations during weekends but live in an odd place. Narcan is now a staple in my “Hello Kitty in Space,” backpack.

Zero reason to bring it up? I disagree. Our society is filled with people who lack moral character, yet espouse religion and use religion as a mechanism to justify being shitty human beings. (Act immorally, but pray to Jesus, so it's all forgiven, and god understands, etc. etc.)
It's called hypocrisy. Most people don't like hypocrisy and it tends to get called out when it occurs.
I don't see how that is virtue signaling.
