It's perception. Iowa's potential for their best win is against a team that Northwestern blasted. Hogan had a passer rating in the 80s against the Wildcats. The media didn't give Iowa any respect until they lost to MSU. MSU getting blasted by Alabama makes that loss look far more mediocre now.
It was ugly...it is getting embarrassing.
Alabama is exploiting what Iowa discovered too late: Michigan State's safeties are poor.
I wonder if Izzo is still in the stands? Bad week for those turds.
Nick Saban is loyal to that Bobby Williams guy. Williams took over at MSU and when he got fired he has been back with Saban on every staff.

Media perception drives national perception. Top 5 is great. It would have been nice to see MSU compete in this game to see how we stack up against the very best in the country.
Now I root for Clemson....just wanting to hear the ESPN crew wipe the froth from their mouths over the Alabama infatuation....and to see IOWA ranked #2 after they knock the crap out of Stanford to end the year.
Might be time to switch to Netflix. This game and Cook have become too predictable.

I agree. Would like to see Alabama go down to Clemson. Sure was hoping for a BIG champion again. Sparty's performance tonight really surprised me. Did not see this happening.

The MSU team 2 years back was a lot better than this year's team.
It is kind of embarrassing for B1G and of course adds to the Alabama/SEC prestige, but there is silver lining. DB MSU fans get a woodshed beating. I had to listen to Go Green, Go White after B1G title game....Now it is Go Green, Go White, you suck tonight.
Hopefully Iowa wins tomorrow. We might have given Alabama a better game. If we had a better pass rushing DL, and better OT's, we would have a great shot.
Would like to have had a shot. Games are played by execution and MSU didn't execute. Still an embarrassing effort, Bama was an 8 pt favorite, not 31.
Strange as it may seem Iowa may come out of this week for the better. After this shellacking by Alabama over Michigan State, an Iowa win over Stanford will leave the Hawks the top-ranked Big Ten team in the final rankings. The Spartans might not even finished as the 2nd highest from the conference. Depending on how tomorrow's games go, I could see Michigan State dropping as low as 8th.
I think half the B10 teams would have made a better showing than this. Party played about as bad as they possibly could. Absolutely pathetic. Credit to Alabama for the ass-kicking, but the Badgers played them much more respectfully -- and that was AT Alabama.
Who cares. Iowa wins we finish in the top five, we lose top ten. F#%* Dantonio and MSU. Oh no, the media doesn't give us credit. Wtf?
Big Ten East may get shut out in the bowl games. I expect Michigan to lose for sure and give O$U a 50/50 chance. I give us and NW a 50/50 shot tomorrow.
