Angel’s done for the year?

Yeah this girl wanted an off ramp for this season knowing she was going to lose RoY and likely miss the playoffs. Seems to be trying to do whatever she can to stay in the news with the CC stuff on her podcast and now this. Assuming she builds/maintains an audience I highly doubt we see her playing basketball in 3 years. She'll try making it as a fashion and culture influencer.

I suppose her fans can say that’s the only reason Caitlin will win ROY.

AR made her last shot, a 25 ft 3-pointer, of her rookie season. We're going to have to see if CC hits her last 25 ft 3-pointer before deciding on ROY.

But seriously, I hope the Sky don't just quit mentally, because I'm curious to see how Cordosa can do as the primary big in their offense.

Edit: I just watched the final five minutes of last night's Sky game. Angel showed no signs of wrist injury so maybe it happened in practice today. Also, whoever is in charge of shot distance stats for wnba games is pretty generous with their estimates. AR's "25-foot three point jumper" was at most 6" behind the 22 foot line. Now I question how they even attempt to keep shot distance statistics.

I just watched the post-game. Remember when, after a loss, you could hear a commotion from the hall, and they quickly closed the door? When Carter and AR finished their answers and left, you could hear shouts of joy before they closed the door.

Of course. But then what difference does it make? Reese has never been anywhere near the same level of CC, on or off the court, and she and her little cult can't stand it. Reese is a big girl who stands under the basket and collects misses, many of which are her own. That's her skill set.

CC, on the other hand, does it all. CC has changed the nature of women's basketball. And she's done it with ultimate class on and off the court.

Not only is CC the obvious ROY, she's in the top three or four for league MVP. CC is a once-in-a-lifetime talent. AR is just another player who gets rebounds because she's heavier and taller than most everyone else on the floor. Just the facts.

co-ROTY is a LOCK now.

Book it
Should be, it's not even close. The sky tanked after the break, the Fever surged. CC has clearly elevated her team. They're in the playoffs, assured of finishing above Chicago. Indiana's season record is better than last year, Chicago's will be worse unless they run the table.

But I think the injury could have the opposite effect. Those in the Angel camp will say you can't penalize her for getting injured. She should get credit for all she's done to this point. B.S. but be assured someone will play that angle.
