Anyone have one of the newer types of home security systems?

Our house currently has the old school window and door sensor types with the built in keypads. We are getting all new windows and I am using this as an opportunity to upgrade/update our home security as well. Simplisafe looks interesting, any others that people use and recommend? Im not talking all of the outside cameras and such. Although we do like our Ring doorbell.

I would say if you don't have a security camera its probably because you live in a shithole.

Those among us who really have such estates do not rely On little sensors on the windows. My armed security detail do a good job.

That's right because burglars only steal in the hood. Why would they go to nice areas to steal?

I have Vivint and it works well for me. I like being able to unlock the door for people or being able to set up a special temporary code for a neighbor kid to use to let my dog out while I am away from home. It also notifies me whenever someone comes in, so if I ask the kid to let my dog out 3x a day, I can see when he actually does this on my phone. It's also good for when a neighbor wants to borrow something from the garage and I'm not home, I can open it for them. I only have one camera installed and it's inside the house but does everything I need it to do.

I wouldnt say mine is "new" but there are no monthly payments and very easy to maintain.
