Three more sentences were handed out on Friday. Two insurrectionists will go to prison for 4 years, and one goes to prison for 5 years.

All of these people going to prison over a lie, and a narcissist with such a delicate ego he couldn't just admit he lost. Hell, he didn't even have to do that. He could have just gone away and given interviews about how he got screwed. But, no, he called for an insurrection and the little people are paying the price, so far.

One POS from Iowa has pled guilty, her son has a bunch of charges pending and apparently will go to trial. Mom could get a year in prison, or remain out of prison under supervised release. Since she made it a point to brag on social media about storming the Capitol, and was screaming about Nancy Pelosi I am comfortable with my tax dollars being used to keep her in prison for a year. The chair of the University of Colorado’s Board of Regents called John Eastman “an embarrassment” Monday and said the elected board respects the ability of the Justice Department to weigh the Jan. 6 committee’s request that the attorney be prosecuted in connection with the Capitol insurrection.
Eastman was employed by CU Boulder as the visiting scholar of conservative thought and policy at the Bruce D. Benson Center for the Study of Western Civilization while he was advising President Donald Trump on how to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
On Monday, the House Jan. 6 committee recommended to the Department of Justice that Trump be charged with violating four criminal statutes, including aiding an insurrection, and that Eastman be prosecuted on two of the same statutes as Trump: conspiracy to defraud the United States and obstructing an official proceeding.
When asked for comment on the criminal referral of Eastman, CU Boulder officials pointed to Chancellor Phil DiStefano’s statement made the day after the Capitol riot, in which he said Eastman’s “continued advocacy of conspiracy theories is repugnant, and he will bear the shame for his role in undermining confidence in the rule of law.”

The House January 6 committee is withdrawing its subpoena of former President Donald Trump as it concludes its work.
It's always worth mentioning that Donald Trump wants to issue pardons to all of the insurrectionists. So, if you want to say some of the people just got caught up in the moment, walked around inside the Capitol, and deserve a pass, fine. But, he's talking about the people who were the shock troops. He's talking about the people who smashed the windows, pushed past the barricades, and those who assaulted police officers. And, his comments are being echoed by elected members of the GQP.
