All attempts to get Trump to testify so far in a 1/6 trial have failed. Several Proud Boys are asking that he do so, but don’t really want to come out and blame him for what happened. They just, you know, say he told them to come and take their country back.

FYI, the judge in the Proud Boys trial is Timothy Kelly, confirmed in 2017 by a 94-2 vote. As opposed to so many Trump judges, Kelly had 10 years of experience litigating at DOJ, and other governmental experience including a stint working with Iowa’s own Chuck Grassley before he started pandering to the nuts and traitors.
