Does the DePaul home loss become as bad or worse than the Neb road loss?

DePaul beat us down in Carver.

Not that bad. It was game 1 & DePaul played out their ass. Conference record sucks but fwiw they are in every game, blown 2H leads at Marquette & Villanova recently. They’ll win some games at home. If Iowa keeps taking care of business at home & stays on the path they are, those 2 losses will not hurt us with our tough SOS & positive NET ranking

Finish 11-9, even 10-10 in the league is all we need. No need to obsess anymore about the DePaul game. We’ve got plenty of good wins, we’re a 5 seed right now. Beat the Illini today is what’s we need.

Where we sit with Q1 wins makes the loss pretty tolerable. Shouldn't impact the seeding at all.

For the record, my question wasn’t intended to somehow mitigate how the season is progressing above mosts expectations or if we aren’t contenders right now regardless. I’m merely wondering if people will start acknowledging that DePaul’s ongoing crash and burn makes that home loss our worst loss and not the road loss to Nub. I say it does.

It was bad. It was November. The only way it matters even a little is if Iowa is ridiculously good down the stretch and is in contention for a 2 or 3 seed.

It’s a bad loss. Who cares? We’re a different team now than at the beginning of the season. Not sure what you’re looking for people to say. If we’re a 5 seed does it keep us from a 4? DePaul started good and they are just ok now. It’s one game.
