MSU is 8-0 in league play.
They have played the bottom 7 teams in league and Illini at home who did beat by one point with Illini star player out.
Their last 12 league games are all vs the top ten teams in league.
Not saying they are not good but they will need to prove it.

Wisconsin next game is at Maryland this Wednesday 1/29 at 6:00 PM. Should be a good one.
I would guess Iowa will get lucky at least once. Looking at Minnesota, they aren've very talented outside of Garcia. I think Iowa has more talent, just not playing right lineups.
I saw that Utah team that we struggled to put away got stomped by Baylor. Our wins aren't impressive.
Expectations were high in hoserland going into the season. Their player payroll must be very high. IU is going to need a big finish to the season to save Woodson from being fired.
IU has the ball out of bounds on the baseline near their basket with almost 4 sec left, behind by 1. Woodson subs in 2 new players, and doesn't call a time out, although they have one. No one seems to know what out-of-bounds play they are running. They end up throwing into the worst possible place, the corner, to a player being closely guarded. The player is forced to heave an off balance 3. IU players were yelling at each other as they came off with the loss. Woodson was a great college basketball player, but he is a lousy coach. IU fans are NOT happy.

IU will definitely be hiring a different head basketball coach after this season. You get a $5M roster and put that product on the floor?

If tonight's matchup was in the Barn I'd say we have an interesting matchup, but I'm fully expecting Michigan State to annihilate Minnesota. I think Izzo has MSU primed to immediately kill shot the Gophers.
It would take an absolute miracle for Woodson to keep his job. That home Illinois game was a no-doubt enough is enough for all the NIL boosters.
I have a love/hate relationship with this thread.
I love getting updates on the league without having to watch the games.
But at the same time, I hate it because it pisses me off knowing the Hawks could/should be competing amongst the middle-to-upper tier of the conference and aren't because they can't bothered to defend or rebound. So its hard to muster any reason to care about game results and standings.

I agree it is hard to get really engaged in league play with the Hawks as uncompetitive as they have been recently.
But I am a bit of a BB junkie and it's January and old habits die hard.

Agree with your sentiment entirely. Feel the same way every year about the tourney. Go into it knowing we have no shot.
