B1G expansion plans?

Doesn't Fox own half of BTN? Why does Fox talking to Oklahoma about their TV rights mean anything about realignment?

Forget Notre Dame in the B1G. I just don't see that happening. They have had numerous opportunities to make the move and have not budged. I don't think their big donors are for it.

Epic failure...this isn't an ISU thread, it's a B10 thread. It's not even ISU's conference. You guys try so hard but fail so consistently. It's really pretty sad.

Failure, if not for 4th post in thread mentioning ISU and then the resulting avalanche of ISU related posts that somehow evaded your perception.

Seriously take 5 minutes and skim through the thread. After one mention there is another brief mention in response to isu fan who brings them up then and majority of the thread is talking about OU and Texas. I count less than 5 (counting yours) post specifically centrally related ISU or as you elude to an "avalanche" post on ISU. But yeah ignore 20+ OU/Texas mentions along with about 10 other schools brought up multiple times in the thread.

Which I always find the irony of ISU trolls like yourself talking about Iowa "obsessed" with ISU but here you are in early July on an Iowa site reading and posting in a thread that has nothing in thread headline to do with your school but yet here you are, again.... Irony at its best, no?

You just spent 5 minutes counting ISU related posts in this thread and your position on this is that Iowa fans don't care?

I told you to take 5 because I assumed as an ISU fan you were a little slower. Takes less than 2 minutes to skim through and count to prove your pointless claim false and to call you out on your BS. Simple as that. But way to deflect and ignore the fact your claim was wrong. Keep on trolling. But I love it here you are again checking back in for least 3rd time today. Yeah you aren't obsessed...

Notre Dame signed a GOR to the ACC that runs through 2036 for their non-football sports and agreed that if football were to join a conference in the next 20 years they are contractually obligated to join the ACC. Notre Dame is off the board unless the ACC gets paid a huge sum.

In the other thread on this last week I called all this. OU and KU are going to get invited to the BIG. FOX/BTN buying up OU Tier 3 rights is a little preamble to the invite.

Why the heck would the BTN want the right to broadcast Oklahoma athletics for a measly 3 years if there wasn't something more to this?

Things are going to start shaking lose prior to the GOR expiring in 2025. I expect the movement to start happening in 2021-22 prior to the BIG renegotiating their contracts. They'll want OU and KU on board in order to command max network money.

The B1G has Northwestern, Michigan, Michigan State,Wisconsin, Purdue, Penn State, Ohio State, Maryland and Minnesota in the top 100 colleges in America.

The ACC has Duke, North Carolina, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Miami, Clemson.

The SEC has Vanderbilt, Florida,Georgia, Missouri, Texas A&M.

The Pac 12 has Stanford, USC, UCLA, Colorado, Washington, Cal

The Big 12 has Texas.

So the B1G has 9 of the top 100 colleges in the United States, The ACC has 9, the SEC has 5 and Pac 12 has 6. The Big 12 has 1, I think that is quite telling.

Illinois is #61. B1G has 10
