Barta taking leave

Every man will eventually get prostate cancer if he lives long enough. Cancer is no joke, to be sure, but if a man is to get cancer, prostate cancer is the form to get. Highly curable and long-term survival is the norm, not the exception. He will likely die of something else.

That being said, I wish him all the best and a fast, full recovery.

Hate to think the worst but what if this forces Barta to step down and the new AD expects more wins each year out of the program than what Kirk is giving us. Is there a chance with a new AD that Kirk to Brian isn't as crystal clear as we think it is now?

wow, life can change in an instant. Have to believe that he's in good hands in Iowa City.
Guys, get your scope. My wife nagged me cause I was overdue...glad she did. Get checked.

EDIT: Life is not without its twists. Just found out last night that a buddy has colon cancer and it's advanced. Get tested guys.

He most likely will do fine. The fact that they are doing surgery means it is not spread. The chance that he will ever die of prostate cancer is less than 3 or 4%, according to a news report I watched. Best wishes, Gary, and have a quick recovery.
