So according to ESPN Beathard is the best QB in the B1G druing the 4th qtr. He is one of only two QB's in the nation to throw over 50 passes in the 4th to not have an INT. He completed 12 passes of atleast 20 yds in the 4th ranking 2nd in Power 5 conferences. Beathard was 44- 63 (69.8%) 706 yds and 6 TD's with no INT's in the 4th last season. He also ranks 2nd in the B1G inside the red zone. It's nice to have a guy that can protect the football and make big plays in the 4th at QB. It was missing at Iowa over the past 5 seasons.

And, let's be real, CJ Beathard was working with a group of wide receivers that objectively speaking would be rated as average at best by P5 standards. As Worthy pointed out, the fact he was also playing hurt makes his accomplishments even that much more remarkable.

I really hope CJ has an amazing senior season. Can't wait.

CJ Beathard is the best QB in the first, second, and third quarters, too. People should appreciate that kids like CJ don't show up at Iowa on a regular basis. As he has shown, he not only has great talent, but his leadership and other intangibles are off the charts. As I've said before, I wouldn't trade CJ for any other QB in the country. I only hope the young man is blessed with good health all season so he can really showcase his whole game. I know I'm really gonna enjoy watching him lead Iowa to another spectacular season.

I hope he does not try to do too much. I know he scrambles well, but he keeps it to a minimum. I solid running attack and a better O-line could make all the difference.

Let's not forget that the Offensive Line was hurting quite a bit last season as well, along with the Daniels' and Canzeri's ankle problems...

Amen. He's just that good folks. Drew Tate with size.

He was the best QB in the Big Championship game too.
I wouldn't trade him for anybody in the country.

Realizing how good CJ is, how was the Jake Rudock situation such a home run for Michigan. Remember, he only started practice w Michigan after he enrolled for the summer classes. His poorest game was prob Utah and, I doubt Mi would have won by less than 14 pts to them at the end of the season. Also, missing him for the OSU game showed his worth to Michigan. At any rate, I'm glad it worked out for both CJ and JR.
