Great quiz! I think I was at about 107/178 when I gave up. I missed a lot of obvious ones.

I think I would have had a higher percentage if it went back to 1981. Those teams in the 80s are the ones I grew up with.

I was at a camp with him in NW Iowa the summer before my senior year. I was absolutely SHOCKED when he ended up with the Hawks.

Brian Pearson. I believe he passed away from a brain tumor 10(?) years ago.

Edit: it was 1997 and he was only 27 years old.

Back when Chris Berman was a big deal on SportsCenter, and used to make up nicknames for everyone, he had an all-timer for Wade. He supposedly called him:

Wade “Can I help you? No, I’m just” Lookingbill

I never actually heard him say it, so I don’t know if it’s true. But that hasn’t stopped me from thinking about it every time I’ve heard his name since then.

Obviously, he was better than any of us could have ever dreamed of being, but kids will be kids.

Ok, that was entertaining! Really had to dig through the cobwebs to come up with certain names.

I got up to 149/84% before the 20 minute timer ran out. Not surprisingly, I struggled most coming up with names from the Lickliter era, and the weaker teams from 2016-18 or so.. That's a bit of a black box there. The rest of it, not too shabby!

I played in the same conference as Palmer HS. His dad was the coach & he was a real prick of a coach IMO. I put up 27 points on them. They did kick our ass though. A few years before Troy played.

Greg Helmers was from Palmer also.

I have friends who are close friends with him. We went to Daisy Dukes (strip club outside Davenport) with them all for a bachelor party about 12 years ago. My friend had told me not to bring up playing ball at Iowa or to talk about the computer theft issue. Not sure he had a great time at Iowa playing basketball. Wasn’t super outgoing unless you knew him which I didn’t so I didn’t really talk with him. He’s a big ****ing dude.

I stalled at 55/66. You're not getting anything from the mid to later 80s past me, but early 80s are before what I can really remember. Just had to plug in a few names that I recall others having mentioned from those days.
