Ultimately he needs to hand the nomination over to Harris. If he gives her his full endorsement, Obama will, the Clintons will, and everyone else will. Suddenly ballot deadlines no longer matter since she's already on them, and she will get a massive war chest to play with. There's a reason why Trump is already attacking her. I wouldn’t be shocked if Stephonopoulos pulls a fast one and tries to land the kill shot on Joe.
He’s a political operative, he knows Joes days are numbered and might not help them delay the inevitable.
Largest voting bloc is women. Also black voters are critical in states like Georgia. Those two demographics are key for the Dems and she likely gets both. Shes already running even with Trump. Give her the official nomination and she'll probably be ahead.

The Clinton's are not going to go out of their way to endorse Kamala Harris. Michelle Obama, sure, but not Harris. If Biden decides to drop out, Harris will not be on the ticket.

More I think of it there are a lot of parallels. A career in football/politics, paranoia, a fear of retirement, aging and decline, an underachieving son you’re still carrying in their 40s, a stubborn wife who feels like everyone has turned against them etc etc.

Joe still has donors, many donors and loads of foreign interest money coming in. He isn't going to step down 40 some days before the convention. As stated, before his family is behind him 100% and Jill and Hunter have no interest in stepping down and losing out on all that insider cash.
