Thought the new coach was going to keep all the instate studs (MN has had a bunch). Looks like that didn’t work; they have very little talent
The gophers are inexperienced, but this doesn’t feel like a talented team that’s still learning. Their freshmen class looks kinda stinky. The one big guy made some wide open layups and dunks, but he’s been all over the place.
You never know what you’re gonna get from big freshmen classes full of 3 stars. But this feels like some of those Iowa classes from the mid 2010’s that didn’t pan out.

Just realized that Jemison Battle was on the bench with some injury and didn't play in this game. Might be just a small reason Minnesota was not as competitive as they would have been. My bad....
Penn St is a team that's gonna cause a lot of headaches for team's this year. All they do is shoot 3s which means on any given night they can get hot and knock a team off. They also don't play anyone meaningful minutes over 6'7.
They're now 44/92 from 3 on the year through 3 games which is a 48% clip. That will obviously come down a bit as the competition increases, but definitely a scary team.
