Bohannan

What a great skill, he brought the ball up the court well. Im sure Fran watches a lot of film on recruits and how they brought the ball up. 'wow" he can really bring the ball up the floor. I wonder how well he can sit on the bench and watch another player play defense and make baskets?

Umm, yeah. That's incredible important, especially in the B1G. Our offense was in rhythm all night because we didn't make many mistakes in the backcourt and bringing the ball up against pretty good defenders in Trice and Davison.

Imagine not knowing anything about basketball. Crazy.

JBO's only great attribute is shooting. If he cant do that, he is wasted space. Arent you sorry you exposed your stupidity?
Well, why don’t you check your data before shooting your fat mouth off, jumping on bandwagons you shouldn’t be. Check big ten stat leaders you, buffoon. Here’s a couple that contradict your stupid remark! And shut your mouth. I won’t be nice next time.

Some of you guys crack me up. Btw thanks for anointing me the king of jerks.
With that said, I think some of you guys need to take off the iowa shades and jbo shades once in a while. You guys keep throwing stats out like it’s the only thing that matters. First off, he has been at iowa for more then 4 seasons so his numbers should be higher just from that. If you look at assists, if woolridge had been at iowa just 4 years he would be killing everyone.
secondly, he has been in an uptempo offense with multiple shooters around him his entire career with a 2x big player of the year and should have been 2x college player of the year playing in the post helping spread the court for him.
Third and lastly for now, he is playing with a coach that allows him to mess up and not get yanked immediately after doing so.
But if all you guys want to pay attention to is stats, then yea he’s great. But that means Robert horry with 7 nba championships is also one of the best nba players ever.

That Horry comparison is the worst comparison I have ever heard in my entire life. Well done on topping off your idiotic day.

Did you forget to switch your Forum handle? How many names do you have? And who said he’s the best player? Does he have deficiencies? Of course he does. But to blame every single loss on him, and to start a thread bad mouthing him in the middle of a game we won against a ranked opponent by double digits and on their court, even when home court doesn’t mean as much this year, is just sheer idiocy.
Please make up your mind as to which one of your characters is going to respond to this post! Have a good weekend. And go Hawks. I’m sure someone will find a reason to post about JBo again and soon.

Chucking 3s from 50 feet, terrible passing and brick laying. Ole defense.

What happened to this guy?
[/QUOT

JoBo conference
3 FG% 43.2
A/TO % =4.5/1.1
FT % =90.3

many of those super long shots are when the shot clock is < .05 or < .03, he knows that IOWA needs to get a shot off or lose possession and his long 3’s might go in, it will usually draw iron and give IOWA chance for a Off Rebound. It’s nearly always a good decision and you’ll hear Fran say the same thing.

JoBo is also getting 3.6 R/game, pretty damn good for an un athletic short guy.

Playing devils ad....he does create space, just not the way that you are thinking. Look at the difference in how teams guard Iowa with JBo in the lineup vs JoeT. Yes JBo is not going to drive much on you and get by you, but you have to guard him out to 25 ft +. If Joe is in you can sit inside the 3 point line and drop down on the post when needed.

So yes it is frustrating when you have a "slow" PG in some ways but big picture, it opens up the entire floor for Garza and Nunge. Then the biggest issue is getting them a good entry pass.

Spacing the floor is good but its not a primary role of a pg.

The primary role of a pg is to beat pressure defense off the dribble.

A pg that can't do that is like a quarter back that can't pass.

Solid 36 minutes and 6 seconds defensively by JoBo. On the game JoBo successfully got the ball into the front court 51 out of 51 times against zero pressure up until the last 2-3 minutes with the efforts being uncontested and to wide open teammates. He did successfully handle a handful of throwins that were his toughest passes on the evening. Of the 51 times he got the ball into the front court, he was able to get the ball inside the arc 8 times, four inside of 12 feet counting his missed running layup and two air balls. Zero turnovers but most 7th graders could have done that—— not all his fault, and I will address this later. 6 points all in the last 2:57 playing with a seemingly insurmountable lead, that included 2 10-12 foot air balls, 3 missed 25-30 footers and one missed running layup. I have started to call the point guard play Franball since the first Indiana/Illini games. It would appear that Fran has finally realized that his point guard playing on 2 repaired hips has some serious deficiencies so the offense has largely become 3 getting the ball into the front court in 5-7 seconds, giving it up to JW, CM and CF to run the offense. In this game like the previous 5, almost all of JoBo’s assists come from made 3 pointers with many having little to do with the pass. Last night 4 of the 5 assists were on 3s with the 5th being Luka from 10 feet.

Was that right before the half where the bench told him to get off a quick one so we could get a chance at a two for one...I think so...

Isn't the primary role of the point guard finding open shooters and getting them the ball where they can shoot without the need to dribble? Hence the statistical category, assists, by which point guards at every level are primarily evaluated? Jordan will finish his career as most prolific passer in Iowa history. Jordan also will probably finish around 10th in the conference history.

Another important skill, more important that penetrating-which is one way of playing point guard-is closing out games with solid ball handling, no turnovers and hitting a very high percentage of late game free throws. No one I can ever remember, except maybe Ronnie Lester, provided all three of those skills better than Jordan.

Of course, requiring a defender to guard you at all times because the point guard is the most prolific three point scorer in his school's history is just a little lagniappe for Jordan-almost the Big Ten career leader in made threes.

In the end, all of our various debates about Jordan are really just sound and fury, signifying nothing. He's the horse we road in the turn around year of 2019 and he's the horse we're hopefully riding out on-sometime in the second or third week of the NCAA tournament.

How many attempts did that video take you to properly post? Over / under three like the first one.

You have literally made my day. Right off the bat I'm obviously in the realm of your conscious thoughts. The mere fact that you sought out a technical error to personally attack me proves the truth of that proposition; and, **** dude, I did not know you even existed 8 hours ago. God its fun to impact some poor duncical's thought process. Don't bother to deny it or try some ten year old snark "get me back", your original post is most dispositive proof I'm right on this one.

Then, of all the targets of personal attack, you pick one in which I would be in most sympathetic light. There are a lot of geezers like me on here that just are not very techy. I'm further guessing I'm not the only poster that's ****ed up some tech detail and had to fix it. So the people reading your juvenile attacks are thinking you're picking on some old guy for a minor tech problem. I mean, I do not typically give advice on how to personally attack me but at least pick some time when I'm being an arrogant prick. I'd say like right now but it's too late, the readers both know you're getting the spanking your poor manners earned you and you needed help from me on how to insult me.

Then, and then....best of all I'm taking screen shots and sharing them with a group of friends. We each submit two or three of the dumbest attempts at wit and then laugh as we discuss the saddest of the sad: the dumb that think they are smart. You have made it under the wire to be considered in this week's contest.

Son, you're in a hole. Stop digging.

careful pointing out facts and using logic. That’s not taken Kindly around this board. Jordan’s going to be the assist leader and 3 point leader so he is the best! Lol

I thought JBO played solid. Scoring wasn’t there but managed the game and played pretty good D. He doesn’t have to score big points for Iowa to be successful. Manage. And play some D...
He played really good defense. In addition Luka ripped off 17 in the first half. Wisky was giving us that and our guards were getting it to Luka. Joe needs to settle down before next year. Too out of control.

Undiluted jerkism. Oops, forgot the 'Lol.' Always a laff riot.
