This is the kind of thing that will get you ruled ineligible by the NCAA.
Should have had Baer tweet it. What could the NCAA do to him at this juncture? And why’d he have to tag Baer? Don’t like it.
I kinda doubt it was JBo.
I see the NCAA making the call.....Ugh I see a suspension in his future
Does this replace the missed free throw story in jbo’s legacy?
I'd be more annoyed with all the other student athletes that mooch off them.Just doesn’t look good. I know wisky players saying they stole some stuff as well.
I get these players are sick of having money be made off of them, but do they want to get paid? I mean they would have to claim all $$ that comes in and they would have to pay taxes on that $$ coming in. Uncle Sam isn’t going to allow them all that $$ with no tax. Plus all insurance would be through them and not the school.
I get it the university makes millions off of them, but they get a free education and come out with zero debt. That’s a big deal now a days with college costing so much. Just my opinion.
Why do people keep talking about out of state tuition. You think these out of state kids are going to come to iowa and pay that if they aren't on schollys? HIGHLY doubt it. Also half the team, or more, is probably Iowa kids....I always love the players complaining about getting paid. If he has a full ride, thats = getting paid about 40k a year(out of state tuition, room and board). Free clothing. Food stipend and Im sure a bunch of stuff that we don't even hear about. The school is not making him stay in school!!
You rarely hear this complaint from the players expected to go pro. Its always the players that are starting to come to the realization that their college playing days is nearing an end.

My point was to place a 'value' on playing at Iowa. If they are getting a full ride, that full ride has a monetary value. It's got nothing to do with the 'in state' tuition vs the 'out of state' tuition. If you want to use in-state, go ahead. That is still worth something so the players are receiving compensation for them being an athlete!I'd be more annoyed with all the other student athletes that mooch off them.
Can any college sport really survive without fball/basketball?
