I do have to say if the story comes out that she engineered this….I’m on board with giving her the permanent gig.
Need someone in the AD role with a strong sense of direction and the fortitude to make uncomfortable decisions.
It's being reported as a mutually agreed upon thing that Brian step down. So, as Brian's boss, she would have been in on the discussions
Beth Goetz credit for this, it appears.
But will KF actually retire at season's end because of it?
Regardless, it is time to name her full time AD.

I hope this is actually the case. KF has had Iowa's AD and athletic department in his back pocket for too long. If he wasn't on board with this move and BG made it happen anyways, HIRE HER NOW AS FULL_TIME AD.

I don't know if the decision she made today is a good one... its about the same as the 25 pts per game decision.
I'm not a fan of firing people and replacing them with somebody else for the sake of firing people and replacing them with somebody else.
I prefer patience and faith over condemnation and over-reaction.

I'm liking Goetz and everything I've heard about her so far. I agree with others that have said to drop the interim tag. Seems like she gets it.

Patience and faith? Where has BF earned this? He's had plenty of time and is failing miserably. Firing for the sake of firing? Iowa's offense is dead last by total offense. How bad does it have to get, exactly, and for how long, before you would get behind making a move to a new OC?
Not only that, but he's the QB coach also, and we've seen how well our QBs have performed the past couple years.

Simple choice, hire Gene Taylor from K-State. The guy understands championship level football from his NDSU days. Iowa ties. AD of the year last year.
First order of business is hiring Chris Klieman. That guy can coach. Ran a dynasty at NDSU, beat a top 15 Iowa team. Has K-State in the top 25. Plays a physical style of football, believes in defense, and is a winner. Iowa guy to boot.
It's so obvious at this point that's the right move.
